Indoor Teetee's 2021 Monster Hunt

Final weights
  • Been a while since my last post, had to move home AGAIN. I've lost count how many times we've moved in the last 5 years.....

Before we left our last gaff, I had taken down the remaining 2 plants... the Night Queen and Chronic Ryder both came down at the end of October. Because I knew we were moving, I used the tent to dry them rather than my usual starting another run.

After drying, I stored the buds in Mason jars with Boveda 62 packs for a month's curing.

    So here's the final weights....

    Blackberry Kush 4.89oz (138.6g)
    Chronic Ryder 6.42oz (182g)
    Night Queen 8.43oz (239g)

Making a total of 19.74 ounces or 559.6g. Not a bad result, the quality is great but no real monsters as of yet.

That brings me to what next....

This new place we live in is deep in suburbia..... not easy to smoke, let alone grow. We're in the tropics so we're coming into the hot (and wet) season, daytime temps are already in the 30°Cs and at night it's in the mid 20°Cs, and by Feb it will be absolutely sweltering.
Loads of old folk living around, so naturally they all have their bloody windows open or are out tinkering away in their gardens at all hours.

I made sure to make a batch of Canna Coconut oil before we left to keep up the THC levels while we got settled in, but to be sure, the day we moved in, I had a Mighty Vape delivered and waiting for me along with a couple of 'Smokebuddy' hand held filters to exhale into, and so I now have a way of getting caned without the smell.

I was very sceptical getting a vape, I'm such a heavy 100% green smoker, I was worried I wouldn't get stoned using one, but by fuck do these things WORK!!!

I also bought 8 dosing capsules, so I can load up a few of these, and chug on the Mighty whenever I fancy it. One capsule is enough, but on occasion, I'll do 2 and that melts me more than a joint could.

Best thing is, The amount I grind up for one decent king size joint fills around 7-8 caps, and during a day, I will go through those 8 caps...... I'm using an eighth of the amount of weed that I used for joints!

Put it another way, I'm now making a day's amount of weed (that I'd use in joints) last a week using the vape.

Unfortunately my Wife refuses to vape, she's also worried about not getting stoned enough, and she likes to drag the joint out for a good 30-40 mins while watching some shit on the TV, so it's driving me mad watching her 'waste' all that precious bud while she lets it dangle around in her hand billowing away. Every time I say, try the vape, she goes on about how it's too complicated (!) and hasn't got time to learn from me.... just shove the capsule in, set the temp and suck on it... what more do you have to bloody do!!!

Anyway, we have to get a grow on ASAP, as there'll be another inspection in around 15 weeks, so I'm sorting out a space in the garage, and will sow a few beans in the next couple of days so I can have them in a tent by the weekend.

They are gonna have to be fast ones again, so I'm leaning towards 70 to 75 day finishers, like my good old Night Queen, and Blackberry Kush.
I might also do a Colorado Cookies and perhaps another Chronic Ryder or a Jack Herer.

I'll let you know what I decide very soon, until then happy growing!!!

Grow 3 - Night Queen, Blackberry Kush and Colorado Cookies for the New Year
  • So I trust you all had a nice Christmas, a time for breaking out the very best buds grown during the year. I hope you all got caned.

Having moved home again, I've been stressing out trying to sort out somewhere to do a new grow.... not easy at all as we have neighbours all round now, mostly elderly folk, who love to potter around in their gardens or out the front walking their dogs.
The people over the road from us sit outside the front of their house pretty much all day and night, they BBQ their fucking food and eat outside, FACING US.
Every time I set foot out the door, I have to wave at the cunts and put on this posh English accent while I make the dog take a piss in front of them as they chow down.

To get round the smoking smell, I'm now only using the Mighty Vape, and I use a hand held filter called 'Smokebuddy' that I blow into, and it gets rid of any odours

I'm very happy switching from heavy pure joints all day long to the vape, especially with the dosing capsules. I'm using much less bud and not coughing my guts up if I get greedy. Any heavy users out there considering the switch, I can gladly confirm I get just as hammered, if not, more with the vape.

The Missus smokes joints still, but she sits in the bathroom, and we have a hospital grade air cleaner (IQ Air) in there.
I got the IQ Air about 7-8 years ago back in the UK specifically for the purpose of getting rid of smoke and although I got ripped apart by certain UK420 members back then for spending so much on it, it was a brilliant investment.

It's pretty much a 10"fan at the base of a cabinet with 4x 5" good sized carbon filters in it and a couple of pre-filters and HEPA type filters etc, so it's something that could be made if you were so inclined.

Smoking is one thing though, growing is another - not just the smell but the noise, lights and getting rid of leaves, old coco balls etc.

Long term, the attached garage will be no good, so the only spot I can find is upstairs in the 2nd bathroom where the Missus smokes.... I could fit a 145cm wide, 80cm deep, 200cm tall tent exactly into the shower area, but that's gonna cost a couple of hundred bucks... bit tight at the moment, so that will have to wait a month.

Timing is crucial, as we are constantly bothered by rental inspections every 3 months, so I had to do something quick.
I decided to do my usual thing and start them off in a cardboard box in the garage, out of the way and make it up as I go along.

I chose to grow all Dutch Passion Autos... tried and tested..... Night Queen, Blackberry Kush and Colorado Cookie. I reckon the proposed new tent will just about take 3 Teetee sized plants.

As always, I used a stack of Solo cups and sowed them direct into EC 0.7 nuted Coco, bit of clingfilm over the top and into a dark cardboard box keeping the temps in the mid 20°C's. No need for a heat pad at this time of year, when it's in the 20°C's at night anyway.
3 days later over the course of about 18 hours, they all popped through, so clingfilm off and under a 100W Skyline, still in the cardboard box.

This is when things got a bit tricky.... no ventilation was making the heat build up..... we're in the tropics and it's Summer now, so daytime temps are up in the 30°C's. I had to put the old tent up in the garage, a 1.4m x 1.4m wide, 2m high job, rig up the 6" air intake and extraction and a Skyline 400 LED. I moved them in on day 5.

I've had to put up wooden screens and a wall or two of empty packing boxes to hide it all from view from the side window, and I disabled the remote control on the garage door itself..... just in case.

So heat stress averted, the next issue hurtling my way was to repot them into 25L airpots around day 15, and all I have is about 35-40L of Coco in an old bag left from my last grow.
The nearest Hydro shop is a 5 hour round trip, and delivery at this time of year will be expensive and slow, so I had to do a bit of ringing around.
People were quoting $170 to deliver a $30 bag of Coco with a 2 week wait for fuck sake.
I managed to get 2 bags ordered with a $40 delivery charge in the end, but they won't be here until day 23 or more, and if I want monsters, that will be too late.

Here they are on day 16... the Night Queen is the largest, followed by the Colorado Cookie and the smallest one, the Blackberry Kush....
    Day 16 Group 1.JPG

The brown patches on the lower leaves were caused by the heat stress early on around days 2 and 3.
To remedy this, I took them out of the cardboard box and had them in the sunshine by an open window during the day, and back in the box at night. They picked up pretty well after 2 days of this before going in the tent.
The BBK was the last to pop and so the heat stress slowed her down a bit, but the other two just about held on. The CC has very tight upper internode spaces and is looking a bit dark, so I might hold back on the Nitrogen.

As the Night Queen was doing so well, I decided to repot her into a trusty 25L airpot, as usual, and I dug out a couple of 5L airpots to put the other two in. I had just enough Coco!
That will keep them going until the new medium arrives and I'll repot them again.

    Before the repot...
    Day 16 Group 2.JPG

    ... and afterwards....
    Day 16 Group 3.JPG

So here you go, Teetee's just about squeezed another grow in before the end of the year!
    Thanks for looking in!

    Day 18 - repotted
  • Hey man look at my new title! :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :baked::rofl::rofl:
Ha ha mate, but I'm really not worthy!!!
Love it bro :crying: I hope u get there.. stick around the monster makers thread for tips and tricks :worship:

    Tips and tricks?????
I can't believe how ridiculous my set up looks....
    DSC_6999.JPG

    Nothing to see here, Cuntstubble.

Luckily the windows are tinted, but this is a nightmare. I have the 6" ducting there at the bottom of the tent trailing behind the screen towards the window for cooler ground level air intake, and the exhaust is up there on top of the boxes.

I'll be doing something safer with the cables on the floor......

Back to the grow, and they have taken well to their new homes. Here they are day 18, two days after repotting them.
The Night Queen is looking great in her 25L airpot...
    Day 18 NQ 4.JPG

She's got good space between nodes and her fans are letting light through nicely.
From above you can see she's looking really healthy and I'm hoping she's gonna be a beauty when she's done....
    Day 18 NQ 2.JPG

The Colorado Cookie is also doing well, and the new leaves are looking less dark, so I think she's gonna get busy soon....
    Day 18 CC 1.JPG

I remember she can be a bit leafy so I'll have to get into some leaf tucking to allow her to get some height.

From above you can see a bit of heat stress in the lower leaves, so I'll probably dig out an air circulation fan to keep the underside air flowing.
    Day 18 CC 2.JPG

Finally the Blackberry Kush... she has really picked up after the earlier hiccup, and is getting on with business....
    Day 18 BBK 2.JPG

Not bad for 2 days, and from above she looks very healthy...
    Day 18 BBK 1.JPG

There we are then, another year done. Thanks everyone on AFN for the laughs and good vibes.

This night used to be the big one.... a night of total excess. Now that's all fading memories, but I'm glad I partied as hard as I did back then.

Have bloodshot New Year everyone, and may 2022 bring you enormous bushes of big fat sticky buds!

Day 21 - so far, so good....
  • Hi, back to work tomorrow, so just a quick one.

Day 21, and they are doing very well.
The Night Queen's in a 25L Airpot and is going for it....
    Day 21 NQ 1.JPG

From the side you can see loads going on underneath. She's got plenty of light getting in there to give those side shoots a boost....
    Day 21 NQ 2.JPG

The Colorado Cookies in a 5L airpot, doing well and although a bit spotty in places from the heat stress, is looking lush up top....
    Day 21 CC 1.JPG

I might whip off her top fan leaves in a day or two to let the developing side shoots underneath get some light....
    Day 21 CC 2.JPG

Lastly the Blackberry Kush, also looking very well....
    Day 21 BBK 1.JPG

She's very happy in that 5L airpot too, but I reckon she'll explode with growth when I get her into a 25L.
    Day 21 BBK 3.JPG

I'm hoping the new Coco will come in the next few days, they are growing very quickly and they are into their 4th week, so it wont be long till the stretch and they start to flower.

They each have their own Skyline 400 now.... I started with one, but after repotting I put a second one in, and today I added the third. I keep them on 24/7.
Temps are blistering, always 30°C or more, so I've put in an air circulation fan and upped the intake and extraction to get some air flowing round, and I'm watering every day to keep the medium at the right EC as much as possible.
Evaporation of the water component in the Coco will mean the nutes will become more concentrated and fuck things up. The 4th week is crucial, as they really speed up..... this is where monsters are born.
Keeping the nute EC fairly low will also help keep things on track, they started on an EC 0.7 feed and are now on an EC 0.8 pH 5.8 feed with plenty of Cal-Mag and a little bit of extra nitrogen, plus the usual Multizyme, Roots Excellurator and Drip Clean.

Anyway hope you're all having a good one, thanks for looking in!

Day 28 - all in their final pots
  • Welcome back, it's day 28, and all is well.... so far.
@WildBill let me know if you can see any of the images this time???

Here they are as a group, with the Colorado Cookies on the left, Night Queen centre and the Blackberry Kush on the right.... all now in 25L airpots.
    Day 28 Group.JPG

Avid readers will remember I had to get them out of the Solo cups and into larger pots back on day 16, but I didn't have enough Coco so I put the NQ in a 25L airpot and the other two into 5L airpots.
The Coco arrived last week, so on day 22 I moved the NQ and CC into their final 25L airpots.... not as easy as doing it with Solo cups.

I firmly believe any fucking around with Autos will slow them down, that's why I usually use Solo cups to start off.... I cut the bottom off, and slit it up the side, and pop the whole lot in the new Coco filled pot. Then I carefully slide the old Solo cup out job done. This way there's no handling of roots, no light exposure to the roots, and it's very quick.... minimal stress to the plants.

Moving a plant from a 5L airpot to a 25L airpot was more difficult because of the indentations in the airpot itself. No smooth sides to slide the pot out this time, so as I unwrapped the pot from the plant, the Coco stuck in the indentations and crumbled away a little.
Petrified the whole lot was gonna fall apart in my hands, I had to plonk it in the 25L airpot and frantically fill it in around the sides.
The diameter of the 5L airpot left me with about 3cm around the inside of the 25L pot to fill in, so it all got a bit messy as I furiously packed the Coco down with my (gloved) hands.

I don't know why I just can't be more prepared.... I seem to do this quite often. My excuse this time was the difficulty in getting a delivery around the Christmas and New Year at short notice, but I have to say a big thanks to the Hydro store that sorted this one out!

You can see the difference in the plants... the NQ is much bigger than the other two, because she's had the least stress to go through.
    Here she is...
    Day 28 NQ 1.JPG

Looking pretty good for day 28. I've done nothing except a little bit of leaf tucking to let the underlying new tops show through.

Inside there's plenty going on and enough space to let it all happen....
    Day 28 NQ 2.JPG

And from above you can see she has...... potential..... :eyebrows:
    Day 28 NQ 3.JPG

The Blackberry Kush was initially the runt of the pack, but she recovered from the heat stress and repot shock quickly and is storming away.....
    Day 28 BBK 1.JPG

See how I've tucked that fan leaf in the centre to allow those new tops to pop out either side.

The air-pruned root tips from being in the 5L airpot literally took off once repotted.... that's why they call them 'rocket pots' over here, and it's why I chose to use a 5L airpot rather than a standard smooth pot.
The plants were only in the 5L airpot for 6 days, but had developed quickly in that time. Had they been in a standard pot, the roots would have started to coil up rather than air-prune and they would have had a slower start in the 25L airpot.

Again, she's got plenty of space underneath to let those new side shoots to develop...
    Day 28 BBK 2.JPG

And from above, she looks very healthy with nice big fan leaves sucking up the Skyline goodness....
    Day 28 BBK 3.JPG

The Colorado Cookie is the smallest plant of the grow. I've always found her in the past to be a bit shorter and bushier, and this seems to be much the same.
I've had to whip off 3-4 pairs of fan leaves from the mid region of the main stem (as and when rather than all in one go) to allow the new stems underneath to get any light....
    Day 28 CC 1.JPG

From above you can see how the uppermost fan leaves at 12 and 6 o clock are pretty wide, stopping any light getting to what's underneath.
I'll be whipping those two off when the newer leaves at 3 and 9 o clock are more substantial....
    Day 28 CC 2.JPG

Can you see the thermometer reading? It was only around 9am when I took the pic... it's even hotter in there now!

I don't like cutting healthy leaves off, I see them as 'solar panels' for the plant, so removing them can only be detrimental. Especially in the first 4 weeks.
Having said that, if the leaf is yellowing or not getting any light, I'll consider removing it to stop it from draining the plant's energy.

Now that they are 28 days plus, I can start to think about the impending stretch, so I have to make sure that every new shoot gets enough direct light on them so they can lift up from the main body of the plant and knock out some candy canes.
Getting a plant to focus it's energy on that will mean some light staking out and then clearing out anything underneath that looks like it won't get to the canopy. Stake first then cut, not the other way.

A lot of growth can happen in the next 10 days, so I'll have to go in and do some surgery a couple of times to keep things in check.

Hope you're all doing well and keeping safe. Thanks for looking in, more soon!

    Day 32 - Stake out
  • Day 32.

Welcome back, this morning I was busy staking out the Night Queen and the Blackberry Kush.
They have been growing at quite a rate and loading up with heaps of potential budding sites, the side stems are growing fast, and the lower branches are competing for light with the newer upper side branches.
Now that the plants have passed the 28 day mark, I'm happy to start training them.

    Here's the BBK...
    Day 32 BBK 1.JPG

I've pulled the lower branches out pretty much at right angles, kind of like a low stress supercrop in the hope that the nodes further down each branch point up and grow some nice fat buds.

Lots of leaf tucking going on as well, see how I've tucked in the big fan leaves from the main stem in the centre of the picture.......
    Day 32 BBK 3.JPG

Careful positioning will let little branches deep inside get exposed to light and hopefully stretch up.
Rather than a sixth stake, I made use of the airpot post, but I'll probably put a stake there in a couple of weeks.....
    Day 32 BBK 4.JPG

From above you can see the final result.....
    Day 32 BBK 2.JPG

    The NQ got similar treatment....
    Day 32 NQ 1.JPG

Again I pulled the 6 lowest stems out at 90°, and less than an hour later the tops were already turning up.....
    Day 32 NQ 3.JPG

I might add little weights to the tops and keep them growing out to the sides a bit more.
    Here's the view from above....
    Day 32 NQ 2.JPG

She's looking like she's gonna be huge!

Here's the tent now, with the NQ at the back left, then the BBK on the right, with the Colorado Cookies in front.....
    Day 32 group.JPG

The CC is short and bushy, so all I have done is give her a little clear out underneath, and a bit of leaf tucking to expose the tops.....
    From above....
    Day 32 CC.JPG

I have lowered her light a little, and upped the feed for all of them, so they are on a daily feed of an EC 0.9 pH 5.8 mix, House and Garden Cocos nutes along with their Roots Excelurator, Nitrogen Boost, Multizyme and some Grotek Cal-Mag.

There you go then, have a great weekend!

Day 39 - Do we have a monster?
  • Day 39

Another week gone and the NQ and BBK are flying away.
The Colorado Cookie is refusing to stretch though...
    Day 39 CC 1.JPG

She looks healthy enough, but I'm not seeing much in the way of upward growth. Inside, she's bushy AF but because of the miniscule inter node spaces and wide leaves, there's not much light getting into the foliage and I fear she's using all her energy to veg out.

I decided to give her a good chop inside... leaves, stems, anything that looked like it would never make it through the canopy, and left her like this....
    Day 39 CC 2.JPG

It's still early days, and the Colorado Cookie is supposed to be a 77 day finisher, unlike the NQ and BBK which are supposed to be 70 day finishers. Perhaps I'm being a bit impatient with her as she should be developing slower than the other two.

The Blackberry Kush is destined for great things, she is massive at day 39....
    Day 39 BBK 1.JPG

In contrast to the CC, she's got plenty of internode space, and all those side stems are spread out to get all that light.
She's grown so much she's actually pulled the stake out on the far right!

All I've had to do is move her to the opposite corner to get maximum tent height, and I now have her under a jumbo Skyline 800.
    Day 39 BBK 2.JPG

She's looking very similar to my legendary 20 ounce Night Queen at this stage.

Talking of Night Queens, here's my current effort....
    Day 39 NQ 1.JPG

I've cleared out any useless vegitation underneath, adjusted the stakes, and she's purring along nicely...
    Day 39 NQ 2.JPG

They all get fed once a day, but they are pretty thirsty each time. The heat is extreme... always in the mid to high 30°C's , so I have put a few air circulation fans in to at least keep the air moving in there.

I'm sure there's plenty of water evaporating from the pots and from the plants themselves, so I have to keep on top of things here. I only mix up 20L of feed each time, and they drink it all up... the BBK and NQ take 8L each and the rest is for the CC.

This weekend, I'm gonna buy a plastic bin and mix up 40-50L at a time instead, and try and squeeze another feed in somewhere during the day.
That's it then, thanks for taking a look. Until next time.....

Day 44 - Is the BBK gonna go the full Teetee???
  • Looking good bro. :pass::greenthumb::greenthumb::greenthumb:
Cheers Mate, and by the magic of the Interweb, in the space of a few hours we jump 5 days forward to day 44.

Here they are as a group...
    day 44 Group.JPG

The Night Queen is there on the right, and the Blackberry Kush on the left, obscuring the smaller Colorado Cookie.

Here's the CC, a shy but healthy looking girl.....
    day 44 CC.JPG

Still not much of an increase in her height.:fire:

The NQ is in fine form.....
    day 44 NQ.JPG

Ordinarily, you'd think she's the big one, but there's also the BBK to take into account.
She's gonna be the star of the show....
    day 44 BBK.JPG

Look how all those side stems are growing up alongside the main stem.... hopefully they'll be fully loaded candy canes by the time she's done.
If she's gonna be anything like the 20.8 ounce NQ:deadhorse:, each stem will have an ounce of bud!

They are all showing early flowers, so in a week or so, sometime after day 50, I'll be looking at giving them PK13/14 and getting them on some Bud XL and Bud Candy for the final finish.

That's it for today, thanks for popping in!

Day 52 - And Then There Were Two....
  • Back again!
I've posted this one up the correct way this time @WildBill so hopefully you won't have to fiddle with your VPN to see this update in all it's glory (cough...)

Here they are yesterday on day 53...
    Day 53 Group.JPG

You'd be forgiven for thinking that's a single plant there, a MASSIVE Blackberry Kush.... but there's actually three plants!

See if you can spot them all!!!

If you peek over on the right side, behind the monster BBK, there's a Night Queen....
    Day 53 NQ 1.JPG

....and If I hold my camera up among the lights and point down, you can see how wide the NQ is.....
    Day 53 NQ 2.JPG

You can see the rear right side upright pole in the top right edge of the photo, and the left side floor pole in the bottom left of the pic, so she pretty much takes up the whole width at the back.

Lots of Night Queen bud coming my way!

Her leaves indicate just how damn hot it is in there, so I've cleared out a lot of vegetation inside and under the canopy, and used a couple of yoyo's to pull her out a bit and make use of some space that suddenly became available in the back half of the tent.

    So where's the third plant????

"Hang on" I hear you say. "What about the Colorado Cookie that was in the back there last time???"
You made that CC look positively perfect with your defoliation. At least to me, it looks like a nice, round, densely filled in bush. Proper topiary.
Cheers mate, but I came to the conclusion that she was a photoperiod plant and she had to go.

Here she is on the left the day before (day 52), with the NQ on the right....
    day 52 NQ & CC.JPG

Without that pesky she monster BBK in the way, you can see a sizable NQ in flower on the right, and the still vegging CC on the left.

Here's the CC on her own...
    day 52 CC 1.JPG

Lots of fairly healthy (excuse the mild heat stress) tops all bursting with new leaves....
    day 52 CC 2.JPG

But it's day 52 and no flowers?

Not again!!!! Must be a photoperiod, and this time I just don't have the space to give her a tent of her own to let her finish off on 12/12.
So without any further ado, I chopped her down in about 5 minutes and compressed her into a paper bag to dispose of later on. That's the white paper bag in the bottom left corner of the first pic of today's post..... the elusive third plant.

So just the Night Queen and the Blackberry Kush.
Only two strains this run then, but together they pretty much fill the tent, so I'm hoping for a good 30 ounces in the end.

    Here's that BBK again...
    Day 53 BBK 1.JPG

    She's like a Christmas tree!!!
With lights off you can see that there's lots of bud developing...
    Day 53 BBK 2.JPG

There's so much of her that to get any closer, I'll have to show you the top half first.....
    Day 53 BBK 3.JPG

    Then the bottom half....
    Day 53 BBK 4.JPG

She's just a bit more than 1.35m tall and there's at least twenty or more side branches that have stretched up alongside the main cola, all loading up with flowers. @DutchPassionTony Will this be another 20 plus ouncer?????

The NQ is about a metre in height, quite a good size under normal circumstances, and the tent's 1.2m deep and wide, and 2m high.
The lights for the BBK are at max height, so it's chock a block in there as usual, just with 2 instead of my normal 4 plants!

Don't forget, it's only day 53 (!), so I expect them to go for another 4-5 weeks. Again, I've used a few Yoyo's on the BBK to pull her out and make use of any spare space.

They are on an EC 0.8 pH5.8 mix with PK13/14 for a few days, and I've been giving them a good feed twice daily.
They take a good 9-10 Litres each per watering, the relentless 35+°C heat and their sheer size must be making them thirsty AF.

Thanks for joining me in my monster hunt, more next week!

Day 68 - Beat from the heat
  • Day 68 update, and they are approaching their advertised finish time of 70 days.

As my grows tend to be a bit bigger, they go for an extra couple of weeks, and to be honest I can't wait till this one is finally done.

Last time I showed you 2 reasonably healthy plants in mid bloom. I was having to water them twice daily giving 10L each, which for 25L airpots is pretty much a full load.
Since then I have not been able to feed them any more than once a day.

With temps up in the 35°C (95°F) plus region in there, it hasn't been an easy task managing these two huge plants and there's been at least 4 occasions where I've opened the tent to see them with all their leaves hanging down all dried out.
    :furious:

The first time it happened, it must have been around 30 hours since the last feed, and they went from green one day, to droopy the next, and brown the following day.

The enormous BBK in particular, lost a lot of leaves last week, and the NQ was hidden out of view squeezed into the back of the tent getting very hot and sweaty.

Here's the view as you open the tent....
    Day 68 BBK 1.JPG

It's all Blackberry Kush, but I've trimmed a bit off her lower areas, and you can just about see the Night Queen's pot behind.

Here's another shot from a higher angle and you can see plenty of long candy canes all the way through the BBK...
    Day 68 BBK 2.JPG

The tip of the main cola's a bit burned but the rest is solid bud....

Here's a closer look at the main stem....
    Day 68 BBK 4.JPG

Here she is underneath, and you can see where all those stems came from....
    Day 68 BBK 5.JPG

The Night Queen has been neglected somewhat, so after chopping out a bit of the BBK's undergrowth and using a few yoyos to open her out a bit, I decided to move the NQ out of the back right corner, and give her all of the back part of the tent.

She was super bushy inside, and being cramped up meant she was getting way too hot.
Despite having a fan directly on her, air circulation was virtually non existent, and there was a lot of straggly stems developing that just weren't getting any light, so I had to tunnel my way in under the BBK's yoyos and branches on the right, and pop up under my fan and filter, and trim out a load of vegetation.

Finally, I used a few yoyos to pull her out a bit either side. If I pull the BBK out of the way, this is how the NQ now looks...

A textbook example of heat stress, but there's hope for her now that I've stretched her out to the sides and cleared out the rubbish.

    Here she is from above....
    Day 68 NQ 2.JPG

Although she looks a bit grim at first glance, there's a lot of her, and the bud's looking pretty good. These pics were with lights on, but lights off she looks a bit greener.
Here's the main cola with lights off, and you can see plenty going on under all those horrific looking leaves.....
    Day 68 NQ 3.JPG

From underneath, again you can see the excellent stem structure and just how much trimming I have done during the course of the grow....
    Day 68 NQ 4.JPG

The damage to the lower end of the branch on the bottom right is from my rubbing the watering jug against it every feed.
I kid myself that this kind of mild stress will make her produce more resin!

Same thoughts for the daily near dehydration I put them through.... if I was a cannabis plant and I was sitting in blistering heat and about to die of thirst, I'd gush out that goo the moment I got fed again!

Yeah, right..... I hear you say!
    Till the next time!
