Man! Tough times Teetee. Good luck. I have a young daughter and im interested to see how this all plays out in future. But we have different circumstances here in the US.
Well that is a shame. Ms. MOG and I did Austrailia for 3 weeks, 15 years ago. It was our 20th wedding anniversary. We saw an opera, and huge bats in Sydney. One of the cleanest cities in the world. Walked Bondi. Flew out to Ayers's Rock and saw the sun rise over it from camel back. Ate camel, kangaroo, lizard. Flew to Caines and spent the next 12 days diving and jungle tour. Lots more to the story. The people were for the most part very friendly and really engaged with us. It is a good lifetime memory.Ice is wrecking rural Australia, kids ae no longer 'daring' each other to smoke a joint, to be a 'man' it's ice. Bikie gangs literally recruit kids to get others on it and it's fucking up whole communities.
We saw Byron Bay turn from a hippy weed nirvana to a cold ice town, dangerous to be in at night, people like Theo Hayer disappearing off the face of the earth after getting mixed up with the wrong people.
In our old place (one of the reasons we moved) we had a 'Lady' over the road in her early 40's and already a Grandmother. Her youngest Daughter stays with Granny by order for most of the time, and at least 3-4 times a week we'd hear her screaming away day or night, fighting with her Partner, and her eldest daughter, who's also on meth... so much so we saw her drop the baby on the grass at 2 in the morning.... ambulances, social services and cops over regularly.... you can imagine how desperate we wanted to leave, even though otherwise the place was paradise.
Over to Alice Springs, iconic Aussie destination to see Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the red heart of Australia....
This what the toursts expect as they arrive.....

That's just sad as hell! Covid and how almost all govts dealing with it have hurt the poorest the most. My area isn't really that hot of a market, but the evaluation of my little place has gone up drastically since this started, and with the most this past year.Ice is wrecking rural Australia, kids ae no longer 'daring' each other to smoke a joint, to be a 'man' it's ice. The same thing happened in a town my husband lived in through high school, went from hippies with weed and shrooms and lsd living in the mountains minding their own, to the whole town being overtaken with meth. The DEA apparently brought it there as a way to try to catch people doing drugs or some such, according to hubs.Ice is wrecking rural Australia, kids ae no longer 'daring' each other to smoke a joint, to be a 'man' it's ice. So I trust you all had a nice Christmas, a time for breaking out the very best buds grown during the year. I hope you all got caned.
Having moved home again, I've been stressing out trying to sort out somewhere to do a new grow.... not easy at all as we have neighbours all round now, mostly elderly folk, who love to potter around in their gardens or out the front walking their dogs.
The people over the road from us sit outside the front of their house pretty much all day and night, they BBQ their fucking food and eat outside, FACING US.
Every time I set foot out the door, I have to wave at the cunts and put on this posh English accent while I make the dog take a piss in front of them as they chow down.
To get round the smoking smell, I'm now only using the Mighty Vape, and I use a hand held filter called 'Smokebuddy' that I blow into, and it gets rid of any odours. I googled this pic to show you one.... that's not my tiny little hand!!!
Is that you, Donald?
I'm very happy switching from heavy pure joints all day long to the vape, especially with the dosing capsules. I'm using much less bud and not coughing my guts up if I get greedy. Any heavy users out there considering the switch, I can gladly confirm I get just as hammered, if not, more with the vape.
The Missus smokes joints still, but she sits in the bathroom, and we have a hospital grade air cleaner (IQ Air) in there.
I got the IQ Air about 7-8 years ago back in the UK specifically for the purpose of getting rid of smoke and although I got ripped apart by certain UK420 members back then for spending so much on it, it was a brilliant investment.
It's pretty much a 10"fan at the base of a cabinet with 4x 5" good sized carbon filters in it and a couple of pre-filters and HEPA type filters etc, so it's something that could be made if you were so inclined.
Smoking is one thing though, growing is another - not just the smell but the noise, lights and getting rid of leaves, old coco balls etc.
Long term, the attached garage will be no good, so the only spot I can find is upstairs in the 2nd bathroom where the Missus smokes.... I could fit a 145cm wide, 80cm deep, 200cm tall tent exactly into the shower area, but that's gonna cost a couple of hundred bucks... bit tight at the moment, so that will have to wait a month.
Timing is crucial, as we are constantly bothered by rental inspections every 3 months, so I had to do something quick.
I decided to do my usual thing and start them off in a cardboard box in the garage, out of the way and make it up as I go along.
I chose to grow all Dutch Passion Autos... tried and tested..... Night Queen, Blackberry Kush and Colorado Cookie. I reckon the proposed new tent will just about take 3 Teetee sized plants.
As always, I used a stack of Solo cups and sowed them direct into EC 0.7 nuted Coco, bit of clingfilm over the top and into a dark cardboard box keeping the temps in the mid 20°C's. No need for a heat pad at this time of year, when it's in the 20°C's at night anyway.
3 days later over the course of about 18 hours, they all popped through, so clingfilm off and under a 100W Skyline, still in the cardboard box.
This is when things got a bit tricky.... no ventilation was making the heat build up..... we're in the tropics and it's Summer now, so daytime temps are up in the 30°C's. I had to put the old tent up in the garage, a 1.4m x 1.4m wide, 2m high job, rig up the 6" air intake and extraction and a Skyline 400 LED. I moved them in on day 5.
I've had to put up wooden screens and a wall or two of empty packing boxes to hide it all from view from the side window, and I disabled the remote control on the garage door itself..... just in case.
So heat stress averted, the next issue hurtling my way was to repot them into 25L airpots around day 15, and all I have is about 35-40L of Coco in an old bag left from my last grow.
The nearest Hydro shop is a 5 hour round trip, and delivery at this time of year will be expensive and slow, so I had to do a bit of ringing around.
People were quoting $170 to deliver a $30 bag of Coco with a 2 week wait for fuck sake.
I managed to get 2 bags ordered with a $40 delivery charge in the end, but they won't be here until day 23 or more, and if I want monsters, that will be too late.
Here they are on day 16... the Night Queen is the largest, followed by the Colorado Cookie and the smallest one, the Blackberry Kush....
The brown patches on the lower leaves were caused by the heat stress early on around days 2 and 3.
To remedy this, I took them out of the cardboard box and had them in the sunshine by an open window during the day, and back in the box at night. They picked up pretty well after 2 days of this before going in the tent.
The BBK was the last to pop and so the heat stress slowed her down a bit, but the other two just about held on. The CC has very tight upper internode spaces and is looking a bit dark, so I might hold back on the Nitrogen.
As the Night Queen was doing so well, I decided to repot her into a trusty 25L airpot, as usual, and I dug out a couple of 5L airpots to put the other two in. I had just enough Coco!
That will keep them going until the new medium arrives and I'll repot them again.
Before the repot...
... and afterwards....
So here you go, Teetee's just about squeezed another grow in before the end of the year!
Thanks for looking in!
Oh Boy!You can't keep a good man down great to see you back at it bro.. high security operation but your just the man for the job.. a stealth master by now lol lookin forward to the next round of monsters.. Could be a tight squeeze in that tent if they go full teetee on ya :smoking:
