True enough that it isn't as clear cut as clones, but when they look identical up until they get their own tent and lighting(and I have done it several times) that it sure leads me in that direction. Now I don't know if it runs true for all autos as I have only done this to 4 different strains all 65-75 day types.
Honestly breeder stated dates can be an absolute crapshoot. They aren't growing the same way a home grower would generally so it can make a huge difference in results. I've found that small scale type breeders usually are closer in terms of dates but even so pheno variation is still fairly volatile without several generations of stabilization and selective breeding for uniformity, and even then its not 100%. Genetics are super fun and traits you thought you bred out generations ago have this fun tendency to pop up when you least expect it. I've not bred canna and I'm sure the genetics are even more complicated but I did breed rats with a focus on recessive and complex recessive traits and even at 21 days gestation+8 weeks to maturity you can have weird shit pop up 4 years later (its happened to me). And thats at like 4ish direct generations per year using selective line breeding, and often with several different mothers per line. I can't even imagine how tedious breeding these plants is considering how much longer it takes and the sheer number of plants you have to run in order to find exactly what you need for the next breeding. Not to mention I've yet to find any real genetics information re the genome of cannabis and the effects of specific traits on various alleles and such, while rats are pretty well mapped out in terms of selective breeding for various traits.

I have lots of cultivars flower at 12 days in 5 Gallon pots

Again, day neutral cannabis doesn’t care about light when it comes to flowering

you see this is where it gets tricky

you said “the only difference” when that’s not the case. All of these come from seed, so each plant inherently is going to be different

when testing autos the only real way to get any kind of data that isnt Faulty is to run lots, and I don’t mean a few plants. I mean thousands, this is to get an average of what input or variable you are trying to test
Pheno variance is something that is hard to factor in when testing autos
Of course seed to seed there can and will be some differences, I meant in what I provided the plants, food, water, temps, humidity etc, I should have been more clear on that, sorry. I don't have the time, space, resources to test like yall do, lol, I am just a fun time hack grower, lol

The strains/seeds I played with all came from cropking, I am not sure of their quality.

i never did get any feedback on switching to maxibloom over megacrop, no experience on that nute line here?

or does the salt run deep :crying:
No clue here. Not used either of them. I'm onto the Jacks just to be contrary.

:yeahthat: (v. 2.0)

Dubious at best from what I've seen
