My Dad when he was alive always wanted to see em years ago.....he'd marvel at us growing the weeds they pulled back on the farm in North Shore Va. when he was a kid.......never could get him to try it when we was smoking though...
Mine sometimes ended up in my Grandad's hay bales if I wasn't quick enough..

On a side note: The horses were unusually mellow at times in the fall, and sometimes they were unusually irradically mischievous.
:deadhorse: :haha:

Good Morning!

Seen a few folks using humic acid and wanted to clear up something. Fulvic and Humic Acids are not the same. Both are fine to use but work differently. Most times you wont see a product showing the content of fulvic because it's not a recognized fertilizer so legally cant be listed as one in some states. They will be advertised as Humic instead, so that's where some research comes in.

One example is BioAG products. Work great, but the labels aren't always clear. Ful-Humix, TM-7, Cyto plus are mostly regular Humic acid. They will show it as 40% or so in the ingredients.

Ful-Power is mostly Fulvic Acid, even though it's Humic on the label. Just .o6% Humic lol.

Not trying to advertise BioAg lol, just what I have on hand for pictures.

Difference being that Humic is best for soil and helping build microbe/mycorrhizal relationships with your roots. Molecule is too large to enter the plant in quantity but does help the plant metabolize nutrients.

Fulvic acid helps with carrying and metabolism of nutrients within the plant. It's lighter smaller molecules are easily absorbed into the plant which makes it perfect for Hydro growing and foliar sprays.

Generally Humic is dark brown to black, Fulvic is a light golden color. I'm not a scientist, just some research I've read about so take it with a grain of salt, just hoping it helps since no one likes wasting money on nutes.

Happy Growing :baked:

It will be inside my 40x50 structural steel shop with a thick slab. Just a plain flat roof is what I had in mind, but I do want high a ceiling............tall ceiling is not a problem in this shop. It will need to be strong to support anything want to hang from it.
Even though it will be sealed and running CO2, does fresh air need to be introduced from time to time? Is there any value to do it on some set cyclical basis, despite needing to add CO2. Winter time, this would just cost a little propane.
It will be an ongoing project, once the room is built, I'll move my current equipment over and what I have for a couple grows, except for the portable a/c. Automation will be a must and that will have to be the next step. After that will be the lights. I kinda think I'll be switching to HLG. With 6 grow areas, I'll need 5 lights. That's the biggest expense of this whole project.

Edit.....no building permit needed out in the country.

Ahhh, didn't know you were building inside a building. Since that is the case, you aren't limited by much. 2x4 would be fine with a double top plate. 10'ceiling no problem other than finding straight wood! 12' go 2x6. As far as a ceiling with a 12' span I would use 2x8. if you want it bomb proof 2x10. There are multiple products to anchor the structure into the concrete. Just make sure to to prime the bottom plate put some 50# felt between the wood and concrete for any moisture issues. Also, put two CONTINUOUS beads of caulk between the felt and wood as well as the felt to concrete to seal for any air penetration. Trim the felt and caulk at the interior and exterior of the bottom plate on top of that. Use Sashco Big Stretch. Absolutely NO air leakage with that!!! DO NOT buy wood from Blowes or Home Depot!!!

I don't know enough about using CO2 in sealed rooms. You had mentioned mini splits. So, it would seem that the intake from that would be enough for plants. Humans a different story in a foamed structure...

Do your homework on your layout and then do it again. Then one more time after that. Electrical, I would run conduit on the inside as the spray foam can/will inhibit access to anything in the future. Make sure you know where you want your panel, outlets, and general lighting as well as grow lights before the foam! Maybe hit Cave Dirt up about that...

Moveable partitions would be something to think about as well if you are going to do autos and photos.

Permits, that's why I put in the "however" Don't wanna give someone bad advise that could effect them down the road if they don't know better. You on the other hand got that part

Let me know if you have any other questions. Glad to help where I can. If you want some pictures of my work, pm me.

Well, it can be a 16 X whatever!
19ft to the edge of the 12ft wide rollup door and the naturally 19ft to the other corner.
So it can be a 16 X 16 or a 16 X 12. If there is no problem in spanning 16ft with a flat top and additional load from lights and stuff, I think 16 X 16 should be done.
Ceiling at the side of the building is 14ft high

And i have my 1st clip on fan failur, am i a real inside grower now? Took it 16 months to fail, i like the white fans in my 2x2 tent better. The ones with the 1980s twirl cord that @Fermented_Fruitz loves so much, those fans are the best i have, even better than hurricanes i have

The new ac infinity's are great

So...what does everyone use to mark their plant labels outside? My tags are plastic and marked with a sharpie. They work great inside, but outdoors they get sun bleached and unreadable after a week or 2.

Is there something that works better so I don't have to re-label plants every week?

i uze the reg ol' plastic plant tagz...the kind u stick into the dirt...but i label em with a sharpie on removable 1x3" sticker labelz....i may hafta go over em once over a summer outside, but they never get totally unreadable or anything....and the sticker labelz are the removable kind, so once the grow is done, jus peel it off, toss it & thus, be able to reuze the plant tag itself time & again  ppp
