@Olderfart - I've been running the Jacks 321 with pretty good success. Are you planning on R/O water? I use silica to buffer the pH on mine. The Jacks tends to run low to mid 5.0-5.5 on its own. I'm using it in coco. Doesn't take much silica per gallon to bring and hold it in range nicely.

CaveDirtCody has been growing absolutely fabulous plants with it as well. I think he ran full strength start to finish. I've been at 80% strength.
Excellent information, thanks.

Mine sometimes ended up in my Grandad's hay bales if I wasn't quick enough..

On a side note: The horses were unusually mellow at times in the fall, and sometimes they were unusually irradically mischievous.
:deadhorse: :haha:
Yeah, there was a comedy bit I remember, talking about how the first man figured weed out..." goats eat that shit, stay up all night and play...now tell me what we eating isn't wrong"

Well, it can be a 16 X whatever!
19ft to the edge of the 12ft wide rollup door and the naturally 19ft to the other corner.
So it can be a 16 X 16 or a 16 X 12. If there is no problem in spanning 16ft with a flat top and additional load from lights and stuff, I think 16 X 16 should be done.
Ceiling at the side of the building is 14ft high
Since you also suffer from a bad back, might want to tailor your grow setup to how you feel it would hurt you the least.....2 plants deep along the sides is a pain to reach etc.......you got enough space to plan the plant placement any way you want.....just saying, as I find mine hurting just reaching into the back of my 3 x 5....

So...what does everyone use to mark their plant labels outside? My tags are plastic and marked with a sharpie. They work great inside, but outdoors they get sun bleached and unreadable after a week or 2.

Is there something that works better so I don't have to re-label plants every week?
From finding an old tag from the tiny roses that I could still make out after many years....those plant tags that actually wrap around the stem of the plant seems good...pretty sure it was a sharpie used.....might be because they are up under the canopy of the plant mostly out of the sun...

Ahhh, didn't know you were building inside a building. Since that is the case, you aren't limited by much. 2x4 would be fine with a double top plate. 10'ceiling no problem other than finding straight wood! 12' go 2x6. As far as a ceiling with a 12' span I would use 2x8. if you want it bomb proof 2x10. There are multiple products to anchor the structure into the concrete. Just make sure to to prime the bottom plate put some 50# felt between the wood and concrete for any moisture issues. Also, put two CONTINUOUS beads of caulk between the felt and wood as well as the felt to concrete to seal for any air penetration. Trim the felt and caulk at the interior and exterior of the bottom plate on top of that. Use Sashco Big Stretch. Absolutely NO air leakage with that!!! DO NOT buy wood from Blowes or Home Depot!!!

I don't know enough about using CO2 in sealed rooms. You had mentioned mini splits. So, it would seem that the intake from that would be enough for plants. Humans a different story in a foamed structure...

Do your homework on your layout and then do it again. Then one more time after that. Electrical, I would run conduit on the inside as the spray foam can/will inhibit access to anything in the future. Make sure you know where you want your panel, outlets, and general lighting as well as grow lights before the foam! Maybe hit Cave Dirt up about that...

Moveable partitions would be something to think about as well if you are going to do autos and photos.

Permits, that's why I put in the "however" Don't wanna give someone bad advise that could effect them down the road if they don't know better. You on the other hand got that part

Let me know if you have any other questions. Glad to help where I can. If you want some pictures of my work, pm me.
Thanks for that bit of info!
I'll start a build thread and tag ya!

I set up my new pulse, that blink connect test is a new one for me lol but i figured it out.

i put the pulse where my canopy is since i figure that is the best spot for getting leaf temps from.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to make it easy on my old ass. I will have at least one big bed that will be a true living soil grow. I'll be running a LOT of EarthBoxes and they will have their wheels intact. LOL!
I'll give up some grow space for ease of service.
