Indoor Come visit Wild Bill's Medical Grow Room!!!!

I was just taking readings with my light meter to see how the girls are progressing into the light and guess what I found!

I found another volunteer hidden within a couple of centimeters of main stem of the first volunteer all hidden away!:woohoo:

I guess these seeds were just sitting slightly under the top of the media when I added the compost and Rootwise. Logic would say that they should have sprouted before this, since I have been top watering ever since I chopped Crazy S1.
I don't know! I just can't help but think that the Rootwise has something to do with all these volunteers popping up!
Seeds will usually take a month or so before they are ready to germinate they could have possibly just had super tough shells that took a minute for the water to penetrate.

That's interesting.:pass:
I usually wait around 45 days after harvesting my seeds before i do a germination test with them for that reason. You can freeze them which will help speed up germination on fresh seeds.

I appreciate the info man!
Those seeds that were from the volunteers are in the refrigerator now. The Asian haze seeds still sitting out drying. I still need to do the other seeded plant. It's still sitting out drying.

Yeah, that's what we generally consider as a 'rest period'. Didn't know/never heard that freezing them speeds up the process of germination after harvesting. Worth some testing imo, thanks for sharing mate! :d5:

Well, you know that's exactly what happens to our high altitude canna in nature .
And yeah,, in reality there has to be a rest period. If not, the seeds would germinate without ever hoping of reproducing.
Oh that's why it's very surprising all these volunteers and the separation of the germination. That's why I love growing this plant! You do see some crazy stuff!

So I pulled a bud out of the Cannatrol...................................................:bong::baked::cools:

I think that's so damn cool to be able to do that. I think I'm going to give him a few more days and then I'm going to bag it up in Grove bags.

Last night I checked the weights on the pots and I should be able to water and feed today. I still just going to do half rate of the Medina has to grow. But I think I'm going to do that every watering. I don't think that will be too much with this stuff. The Asian haze tester is showing more signs of Flowering. I think she's fixing 2 jump!

I definitely like the condition of the Asian haze tester in the 3.0 media. I was touching the girl and I kind of get the impression that these stems are not quite as sturdy as in my three run media. I've been adding the Montana grow volcanic tuft to my media. A great deal of that silica is readily available. Now this media does have some of that in it, maybe it needs to be a bit more. That's just an impression maybe jumping the gun a little bit as far as her age. I'm gonna give it another week and make further judgment. With Asian haze I don't really do any hard bending training, just pulling down and attaching to the top of the pot. And once she starts flowering I have to reverse it and support those branches!:face::haha:

Just like in real life, there are no two girls just alike!:d5::worship::headbang::headbang::headbang:

And just like women, you gotta know what your canna girl wants and needs...................... and give it to her!:eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows:

My wedding buddy had to text me last night and remind me what awesome bud I grow. He also gave a big shout out to the Cannatrol,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, In a separate text!

Yeah, I do like my Cannatrol!!:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::woohoo:

Yeah here's the tester.
And I was thinking about topping her, but I thought she probably has enough to deal with hormonally at this moment in her life! :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :crying::crying::haha::haha:
But seriously, I think it's kind of logical since she's only been under 1212 after the transplant.
She's almost like an auto!
Hmmmmmmmmmm.......:chimp:
This might be a real easy way of growing Asian haze. I definitely feel that it is behind one running 18/6. But I'm not really looking for a production. This plant is pretty simply structured and very well organized. Just going from the current structure, there'd be quite a few nice colas developing. That is kind of want to see what they'll do in the stretch growing like this. I definitely won't have the dramatic stretch the outdoor girl went through. That was pretty crazy! I do think I might have pretty good one though.
I might just start measuring her.

Gotta get my order in while Black Friday prices are in effect ! It's going to be pretty sizable.

We'll see what kind of girl we have one week from today. I think it will be a quite different plant.

Crazy Asian haze is not going to be big.:frowny:
I think she's done actually quite well though! The conditions she was born to were mainly for late flower.
She is still going to stretch some more, but it's not going to be a whole lot.
Here she is with her younger siblings.

She is forming nice little buds!

I sure hope I get the harvest some of her!

Edit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I do need to take light readings and maybe up them.

I have heard that some other seeds, like hops, won't germinate until the next Spring after harvest, so freezing them for a month tricks them into thinking that Winter has come and gone and it's time to germinate. Plants are pretty smart!

Well, I've got everything that I can from BAS ordered for the next run. I guess I need to order from sustainable village the reservoir, assorted tubing and connections to finish everything out. That'll probably be under 50 bucks.
That's a good thing!
Here's my cart at BAS!:yoinks::yoinks::yoinks::haha::haha:
BAS cart.jpg

Good thing about it buying it right now is the discounts and my shipping is only $16
And that's with 11 bags of one cubic foot 3.0 media!

That's with the Ecowitt Shallow and deep moisture meters with the associated Ecowitt Gateway. With that set up I can have a record of the moisture cycles.
4 Blumat 9" Sensors - Pre-Marked
4 Blumat Drip Rings

I didn't buy any compost from BAS. I'm going to continue to use Coast of Maine lobster compost. The last time I bought some Oly compost from them and it had the fungus gnats! It's the same time of year so it'll probably have fungus gnats too. It's just too rainy this time of the year where they make it!

I use a few different composts, but I really like Horn Of Plenty on Etsy. It doesn’t contain any manure & there isn’t a lab report. Those things may be a nonstarter for some, but it’s truly some beautiful & clean stuff.
