I'm very happy with the results I'm getting from the BAS 3.0 media. I think the girls got a nice color and leaf formation.
I had lowered the lights a little bit this morning, but not quite to where I really wanted it, so I just got some stands.

Both are now seeing right at 400ppfd.

No signs of showing sex/maturity yet on Asian Haze tester.

I think she's starting to show signs of stretching! I think she needs more roots underneath her and I think that's probably what's holding her back from stretching hard.
Definitely will have some Root-wise in the next feed to help promote that root growth!

I warmed a gallon and a half of water and added the following:
3/4 ounce of Medina Has to Grow
1/8 teaspoon of aminos
One quarter teaspoon of Root wise
And a dash of surfactant

Asian haze now covers her pot from side to side

Crazy Asian haze is going to be interesting. It looks like she's going to Stretch. Kinda just by the way her node spacing is going.

I like this BAS 3.0 media.
Remember, this girl is seeing 12/12 and not 18/6. I think she's doing fantastic. I could call this test now and call it fully successful.

But I want some more info. I'm curious as to what she will do when she matures and when does she show signs of her maturity.
I guess I need to go back and for Threadmark when I noticed the germination of both of these girls.

I think she looks pretty good for 25 days especially since she spent more time in the humidity dome than I would have normally ran . At the time of transplant she had roots going everywhere out of the puck .

With the seasonal changes I've made changes in the grow room. I raised the temperature on the AC to 74 degrees and put it on Eco mode.

I also lowered the lights and the girls are now seeing a average of 470ppfd

That will give the girls a DLI of 20.30 mol/m²/d

That's a bit of an improvement from the other day. Maybe they will now start growing into the light and I won't have to lower it to raise the DLI.

Yep! I think this 3.0 media will be quite fine in the auto run at the first of the year.

If you zoom in real close you will see that she's showing signs of flowering with little pistils all over the place.
That's 27 days from Sprout. She would have been a little bit bigger if I had planted this seedling like I normally do.
Now we get to see what kind of stretch she goes into with being under 12/12 all her potted life.
I think I am going to take everything below the upper major fan leaves.

Crazy Asian Haze does seem to be doing quite well. She is stretching somewhat, but I don't really think I would call it a normal stretch. I'm just going to let her run as she is and we'll see what the outcome will be.

You might have noticed a new addition to the pot.
And here is another volunteer!
Her slightly older sibling is doing well also.

I think all this new growth is from adding the compost and then watering it in with the RootWise.

I'm definitely liking this 3.0 media!

Seb, I think your girls are going to have a very nice time growing in this stuff!
I'm gonna try my hand at some automated watering that I've been watching Jeremy of Build A Soil and his 10 X10 tent series.
With all of the girls being in 15 gallon pots with this media and the 4x4 tent with automated watering, I'm definitely expecting to see some very nice girls!
And I'm also going to be testing some under canopy lighting in this run.
I have settled on Craft Farmer's set up with the separate dimming power cord. I can run it with an adapter and the AC Infinity controller.

While this is mainly just for quality, I definitely expect a boost in quantity.
It'll be interesting to see what an additional 240 watts can do.
890watts in a 4x4!

At least I won't have to push ppfd figures on the main light to get decent production and meet DLI.

That's a lot of changes for one grow, but I think that will make it very interesting and stimulating!
I will definitely have to change a lot of procedures.

I was just taking readings with my light meter to see how the girls are progressing into the light and guess what I found!

I found another volunteer hidden within a couple of centimeters of main stem of the first volunteer all hidden away!


I guess these seeds were just sitting slightly under the top of the media when I added the compost and Rootwise. Logic would say that they should have sprouted before this, since I have been top watering ever since I chopped Crazy S1.
I don't know! I just can't help but think that the Rootwise has something to do with all these volunteers popping up!
