Those are some very beautiful plants! They look very happy, you treat em so good they are showing off for you!

Cultivars' problems, haha!!
How do you dry? Lines with whole colas? Racks?
You add any dehumidifiers or things like that to control temps and/or humidity?

I have whole apartments here to use, you can have a whole one, or just a floor, as you need.
I need to set up my drying zone here, too.
A couple of the rooms have nails or other fixtures in the walls that I can run thin rope across.
And a couple of rooms I can ran lines across the windows.
And I found a huge multi limb branch (looks like half a small try) that I can use as a rack.
The lack of windows in all these abandoned apartments means complete airflow.
But I want the upstairs rooms, as the lower rooms are more humid and wet, especially when it rains.

Speaking of rain, lots more coming down now, with more to come.
Weird weather this year, usual rains season July-September very dry, then we hit October and its making up for lost time...
It's okay for now, these buds are thick enough to be a problem.
Just hope this passes and we get back to some sun and no / less rain for the end of October thru November.
I cut larger sections from the plants and hang them on clothes hangers on curtain rods. I made a 4x4x8 dedicated drying closet in my business room. I do usually run my humidifier to keep the room around 60%RH and i keep a small fan to move the air. I aim for 66 to 68 deg F and keep the room dark. I like to have a 10 to 14 day drying time then directly into glass jars again this year. I used bags last year and that's not for me.

I need to find more room to stuff this stuff into, I've ran out of drying space and my wife won't let me take over the clothes closet to dry in lol. :baked:
 - I figure you could fill a 2-car garage and need an industrial grade dehuey unit! ...think of all the stank-water that dehuey would provide too, that could be a second cottage bizz for you - :eyebrows: Ode' D'Harvest 🤑

I told you I liked the look of that Burmese!! Like it even more now
Thanks Mas', she's going to be a treat!
I want to grab the breeders ear (guy who repro'ed this for himself) and get some details from him... given what I see, I'm surprised he got her to land for him in Belgium (52 Lat' I think?)... He works hard at testing and creating crosses that do well for him there. The hitch is how abruptly the season ends at that Lat, with unpredictable weather.
She isn't an early bloom trigger, but seems pretty speedy to finish. This girl will be done at about 6 weeks bloom... it's the late triggering that's the hitch, but maybe I just have a particular pheno -
hmmm.gif

@Waira the smoke is really nice up sativa head effect with a 🍒 fruit overtone. Sticky icky too! I wash and let it drip dry then right into the herbsnow dryers. The wife says don’t give any away so that’s always a good indicator. Flower shower is a winner and used up what I had left. I’ve seen dr zymes pitching his product for washing too. Washing is def more work but if you phase your harvest it’s not a whole day ball buster.
Yup, when the lady says hoard it, you knows it Good!

I was wondering when another company would step into the game,... Dr. Zymes, I'll have a look and see how they compare!
Washing is a PITA and hard on the arms (I do a fast swinging action/G-force to shed the water out), but it's so worth it - :greenthumb:
The amount of scuzz in the water and the bottom of the bucket is a real brow raiser! OD life is dirty, I still marvel at how the buds aren't just covered in dust and debris... Maybe some sort of electro-static thing helps minimize this? The fans a filthy regardless, I always cut anything "sugarless" off before the wash cycle.
I know it's strictly anecdotal, but next time/season consider trying out that pH hack I mentioned in the rinse water, using some of that pH9.5 drinking water along with the Di/Ro water... I'm not 100% sure but it may help discourage botrytis activity...?
This I need to research more :chimp:

Thanks, Jean O!
I have the space, and the airflow, but my natural humidity ... not ideal at all.

Wild Thing R2 showed her outdoor potential this year! This phenos Garlic Mushroom Onion aroma and sour gas flavor are intense. It's effects are very trippy. I'll definitely be running it again outdoors. It's definitely a lot like the spice cake as it's looks are deceiving, it doesn't look super potent or very special but as soon as the effects hit you know you have something worth toking!

It gets pretty dry in my area this time of the year. I have 4 humidifiers running in my house and its difficult to maintain 60% RH especially with the furnace running.

Spring-Summer Grow -- Maria's Haze Heaven Hacienda!

Day 204: 135V + 69F

Still quite cloudy with touches of light rain.
Very cool for Oct, down to 25C/22C today.
Sun and temps will be back in a couple of days!

Left: two re-veg Super Silver Sour Thai Neville
Mid: two seed stock Grail Project (fast pheno) x ThaiFrican; seven small seed stock SSSTN x ThaiFrican
Right: one re-veg Grail Project (NLD pheno)

Almost all fan leaves gone by now, except tops of the two SSSTN phenos.
The three broken stems/colas -- taller Grail x ThaiFrican main stem, two big SSSTN colas -- are not very happy or healthy. They are losing leaves faster, less flower growth, more yellowing.
But the other non-broken colas / tops are still in good color and health.

Two re-vegged Super Silver Sour Thai Neville

First, 'Fluffy' pheno:

Yet another 'Sticky' cola

PXL_20241010_052307190.jpg

Seven small Super Silver Sour Thai Neville (Sticky pheno) x ThaiFrican seed plants

Interesting assorted mix of phenos, for sure!
They're more exposed to the light now.
Most are smaller bud-sticks, but a couple are getting longer and taller and bigger.

PXL_20241010_052439689.jpg

Pheno on right looks like a 'Pearl' candidate!

PXL_20241010_052458125.jpg

Maybe too much N or water for this girl.
Osmocote on her shoes?
Or just the SSSDH from mom shining thru?

PXL_20241010_052503689.jpg

Interesting pheno, looks nice.
Two blurry phenos in behind are taking their time and getting a lot bigger.
(Top of pic is prob their sibling by another mother, the Grail x ThaiFrican tall pheno -- same dad.)

Spring-Summer Grow -- Maria's Haze Heaven Hacienda!

Day 204: 135V + 69F

Tall pheno of Grail Project (fast pheno) x ThaiFrican

PXL_20241010_052330704.jpg

The main stem cola, badly broken, but still hanging in there.

PXL_20241010_052317623.jpg

Lower big branch below the break point, much healthier!

PXL_20241010_052322878.jpg

Lots of smaller but chunky buds like this on her.

PXL_20241010_052346222.jpg

Another lower branch top.

PXL_20241010_053145327.jpg

Same cola but with some funky street art!

Medium pheno of Grail Project (fast pheno) x ThaiFrican

PXL_20241010_052354895.jpg

Main top of this girl is a little disappointing at this point.
Very leafy, small small calyxes.
But still some time to go, and things will change.

PXL_20241010_052404689.jpg

Re-vegged Grail Project (NLD pheno)

Much chunkier looking than first time with her.

PXL_20241010_052425896.jpg

Another cola.

Yet another cola on this girl at the back, for art!

Once the indicas, the kushes, hash-plants, Pakis and Afghanis, are all cut, dried and test-smoked,
And the hybrids, chunky buds of green, red and gold, juicy, spicy, fuel and stank, are hanging in your garage,
The hazes and sativas, narrow leaf dominant ladies, land-races from the tropics, long lanky ladies,
From Asia, Africa, Central America, will take over the annual outdoor grow competition thread.

This is the way it was, is, and will always be.

I console myself that this year I will at least have cut and dried herb for Christmas and New Year!
