Dosage matters, same as for ethanol, caffeine, salt, and pretty much anything else that goes down the gullet. To know the risks, you have to know the dosage, and as far as I am aware, that is poorly documented re. use of ISO extracts from cannabis. The jury is still out for me, but in the meantime, ETOH works fine.
For ingestion or tincture, I prefer an MCT oil/rosin oil tincture. Easier on the mouth, tastier than the ETOH stuff I have so far managed to produce, and easy to make strong.
