Get 1 of these! The kind u get from Home Depot are absolute garbage and are nowhere near accurate! :d5:
My Hanna soil pH tester dried out and quit working (my fault) and they replaced it with no problem on warranty, but the rubber tip they provide to keep it wet isn't very good and it dried out again and got screwy. Probably off warranty now.

I'm using a Milwaukee pH meter now that only reads 1/10's, but it holds its calibration for a long time and still works after it dried out when I let it sit out all night without putting the cap on. I think @DCLXVI recommended it (thank you very much).
Be sure and buy the storage and calibration liquid, they're not included:

Agreed!
I need one of these as I have swapped from coco to soil for my indoor grow, this time around.

For my coco grows and mixing salt based nutes, I have a Hanna Nutrient EC/TD & PH pen only downside was £200 price tag!

Blue Lab also make good test gear, I have both their Ph Pen (approx £75 ) & their EC/TDS truncheon (approx £85).

That Milwaukee one ain’t for soil tho! Not by the looks of it anyways but I’m too lazy to read their description on website!

Correct, I only pH my inputs. No soil in my grow anyway, I'm loco for my coco coir grow medium.

Bluelab soil probe is a ginormous piece of malarkey! I ordered it 1st and not only is it huge in comparison but had 2 show up broke before they ever reached my door! Got my money back and bought the Hanna FOR MUCH LESS and it works way better! :d5:

Only good thing about bluelab is it’s big enough after it breaks u could repurpose it as a peg leg or maybe u could go pole vaulting! Attach some line and go marlin fishing with it!:rofl:

LMAO! Peg leg...XD
Now I want to see a team in the paralympics sponsored by Blue Lab!:crying:
I don't have any soil meters but that Blue Lab meter is huge!
Can't blame them for the "delivery companies being reckless with the goods".
Saying that the Hanna looks much nicer!:headbang:

Nope it’s cuz it’s shipped in this and this alone!

Plain old cardboard box and not even a sticker saying fragile! Also the bluelab one comes just like that meter alone in a box! The Hanna one was like $50 less and it came with everything u need! You’ll need extra calibration fluid but it comes with 2 or 3 satchels of both 4 & 7ph liquid fluid! Also bluelab one they sell a tool you are supposed to use to make the giant divot in soil before u insert probe so u don’t break it on some pumice or something stabbing it into the medium! With this Hanna 1 I use a king palm packing stick and it makes perfect size hole for free!

Hanna also comes with hummus and soil cleaning fluids for cleaning the tip of probe along with electrode gel and storage solution! That stuff would prob add another $100 to bluelab cost which is already around $180 (back over a year ago when I ordered mine) so not sure cost nowadays!
