This is what I was talking about, just under the surface still damp, thinking about getting a stand for it so the bag can breath from underneath

Heres a closer pic and i moved some dirt around. Idk if Im gonna water it yet or not. Im kinda concerned its gonna take 3 times longer to dry out. I suppose I could mist the top and put a dome on her though.

So this year, i got to thinking.. which in itself can be problematic.... so i got to thinkin people talk about using peppermint castille soap on their plants for bug prevention.. :eyebrows:

And me brain goes, why not grow some mint next to the plant? So that's what i did. :smoking:

Don't know if that has kept the bugz away, but dem bugz have stayed away from this Blackberry Gum photo, whereas all me autos that are in potz have shared wit dem bugz...

Oh and i was at the hydro shop sitting around shooting the breeze with an old timer and got gifted some rosin :baked:

He's never grown an autoflower, so i showed him some pics on the phone. So thanks to AFN, he will be gifted some seeds to play with.

Oh and we went on an egg hunt.. lots of roadside stands within a couple miles,.. so gotz farm eggs, broccoli, apricots and some Russian garlic to plant this fall.. :jump:

And ya, I'm fried over easy :crying:

Just leave it alone for now. The roots grow towards the water, you don't *want* your soil to dry out super fast. Its a 5gal right?

Yes its a 5 gal, and thats what I figured. Im starting to worry about the alkilinity though. Its climbing. About 7.5 right now which astounds me. I think I need a better meter for testing the ph of the soil itself. I just bought one of those cheapo probe ones at the gardening store and tested in neutral water, it came up right on 7 so I figured I was good for now

I really would not stress the soil ph too much. Ph is a constant flux with soil, and really just in general. Its not like hydro where it drifts and there's no buffer. As long as your inputs are in the proper ph range you'll be fine.

Yes but organizing it isnt great lmao. Im not very saavy at this. Ive only made one post in my blog amd continued updating on the comment
I much prefer the thread journals (as does just about everyone really lol) and they're easy to format. If you look at other peoples' journals you can get ideas for formatting. It can also be helpful for your own records (taking down notes in your updates on what you did/how the plants reacted/waters/feeds/whatever else), as well as if/when you run into problems it can make it easier to diagnose if people can read back. Plus it provides good information for future growers who come across your thread. Not to mention the whole if you journal a whole grow seed to dry weight you get access to the Cultivator club thing lol.

Ok I didnt know that. I just got a digital probe, and some ph up and down just in case. Rather be safe. Crap is expensive though
