$4700 is a commitment My 12 ton cost like $300 to put together myself. Less of a learning curve though I guess

ditto on the cost of making a 12 ton, mine might have been <$200 Cdn, but I had the steel and wire hanging around, and my own welder. It works fine, even in my noob hands. You do not need to break the bank to have a good press, and a manual one works fine. If you want fancy, add a pressure gauge that allows you to precisely duplicate the pressure that works best. IMO of course.

Hey guys, should I be worried that I saw algae on top of my soil? What can I do to get rid of it?

It's usually a sign there's too much water in the soil that's allowing algae to grow.

You can scrape it off, I've also just read that sprinkling cinnamon on it will stop if from spreading.
