Definitely! The pinky t’s that I grew only one was in SIP. The others had about 190g wet… the SIP girl was almost 500g wet!

Thanks for the links JP, very helpful. I might do MC this time around. I see there selling sample sizes again.

About 4 oz dry from that girl? Definitely a goal I'd like to hit. I'm a lightweight, that would last me a while. I use mostly in the evenings for insomnia so I'm partial to the ambered up indica's. That helps to shut my brain off at night.

I use these cuz the plant will only take as much water as it needs and promotes root growth by feeding from the bottom making roots stretch to search for water. I feed with Megacrop in my water but this is a perfect system for organic/ water only soil.
Looks like This is the route I'm gonna go on my indoor grow, being I'm using organic /water only soil.
:pass:Think this also keeps knats under control since the top of soil is not wet ?

Get some cling wrap and put over buckets top with hole for plant. It'll keep moisture in and bugs out! Or dark trash bag will do.

At the end of the day have to say, Learned so much last 4 or 5 months.
even tho the yields were small, I went 5 for 5 on my first attempt at growing.
I could not be more happy with all my mistakes the ladies still produced for me.

also feel that another mistake I made was using air pots with water only soil .The water would wash out the sides no matter how slow or little at a time I watered the plants , The bottom of the air pots were dry Roots never made out the bottom guess this explains the small yields The SIP container set up should make a world of difference.

Oh yeah! When I harvested I had a plate of roots grown right through the wick cup and spread across the bottom of the reservoir… picture, if you will a flat root “plate” with roots stretching to the wick cup. I pulled 90% of the soil out with the root ball. She was wall to wall!

So, I checked my notebook and that pinky was 456g wet and 94 dry…3 oz and 10g dry!
So its safe to say 94 grams dry is our NY growers club record :pass:
some thing we can all shoot for I'm hoping to average 40 grams a plant once i figure out what I'm doing.

Tell me I'm sitting in 2nd or 3rd with the NY growers club right now with 21.3 dry grams :smoking:
