New Grower Northern Cheese Haze - RDWC - Stealth Closet - First Grow Journal

You might be able to lift the lower one up into a pedestal or bricks to get the canopy even. Just careful with the net and branches. Looks like you will get a descent harvest if things keep up.

Unfortunately no lifting, its an RDWC system with some thic plumbing! It will just have to fight for its light. Are they able to stretch when they sense competition for light? Just curious

Same shot after some minor defoliation to increase light penetration to all plants!

RDWC I forgot

I believe they do, every plant tries to get what it needs. The branches on one plant definitely try to out do each other. Not sure how well they communicate amongst each other. The other plants may have already had a chat with the little lady and told her to mind her space.
I’ve never run Mephisto before and the plant structure was new to me. On my NCH I realized how dominant their mains are. I learned my lesson and on the 5 Forgotten Cookies I was very aggressive at slowing down the mains.

You can see from the picture above, the two tall mains are both NCH, you did a much better job keeping the canopy level. I’d never seen the Rapid internode spacing that happened with these. Mephisto has some fast plants. I run my lights lower than most and still these girls climbed.

I don’t top, almost thought about supercrippin to keep a level canopy. But I’ve got plenty of room and with my COBs I’ve never had a density issue with lower colas so I left it. Maybe I’ll grt one of those massive center buds like a baseball bat.

Youll definitely get a nice fist-thick main cola depending on how well you push em with the nutes. Mine ate from 650 yesterday down to 420 ppm today so I brought it back up to 650 again today. The right side is getting fat while the left side is growing tall. I used just straight LST and it worked wonders. Soft ties and trellace all day, constantly battling the plant each day.

Cant wait to see how fat these colas get. Unfortunately the cola spacing didnt work out well on the left two so they are really tight and battling for space, but thats because those plants were a bit of a dud at first... then they came back to surprise me. They didnt get the nice training for cola space the other two got, but they still had good canopy training.

In hydro double the space you think you’ll need. With the autos they will lag for the first two weeks and seem slower before the stretch, but when all the secondary branches start throwing shoots it’s a battle to open them up daily. I find week 4-6 I’m in there every other day getting everything opened up and thinned out. I had a mold issue and lost a plant on my very first grow. Second grow I gave everyone windburn then I realized a nice gentle breeze with open bud sites is perfect. Which I learned from all the wonderful growers here.

Looking really good, how big are your buckets. The two plants on the right seem to be a bit ahead of the other two. They may also have caught up with mine that are 2 weeks ahead. I’m using 8 gallons and curious if smaller buckets are faster in DWC

Yah it looks like the two on the left are about a week behind schedule, they were stunted a bit in the seedling stage. I am using 5.5g buckets !

Quick photo update, oscillating fan broke on me - using a stationary until I get a replacement. Plants on the left are finally flowering a good amount! Front right stayed small :[ back left is healthy and doing well. Left two are getting huge!
