Great harvest! Make sure to do a smoke report and go over to the herb snow thread and give feedback so we can all work at it better. The hydrometer is a great thing to watch during the dry of the bud in the dryer. Make some notes on the dry stage. I'd take samples of the popcorn bud along the way but grinding it and seeing just how wet (or not) it is and if it's still too wet, let the ground bud out to open air for a few hours to dry and smoke. Tag me if you want any help or just to chime in. Glad to see it working out for you!

I did a test press of 3 grams of the Double Grape x 3Bears OG. I pressed at 185F for 3min and got .5g so 16.7% yield. A little below my average, but not bad, especially for that temp.

So the final verdict is still out on the HerbsNow, but I am mostly happy with the results so far. The nugs all have a nice aroma when squeezed and are fairly tasty when vaped. I was/am hoping the aroma gets a bit louder, but I am quite content with the current quality which matches and/or beats 75% of the dispensary options near me. (Never mind the fact dispensary eighths are going for $60-90 right now!!!).

I am chopping my Forum Stomper and the bottom halves of the Sour Crack and Purple Scoops tomorrow. I am going to hang dry and dry trim this batch to compare with the dryer results. I’ll post some more results then.

Sounds like a pretty good outcome to me. I'm sure some cure time will bring out the aromas. Cheers to getting high on your own supply :smoking:

I harvested the rest of the tent, Forum Stomper (day 74), and part 2 of 2 of the staggered harvests for Purple Scoops (day 79) and Sour Crack (day 69).

I put about half tonight’s harvest in the HerbsNow dryer and the other half is hanging in my closet.

Based on what I dried last week and wet weight of tonight I think I am going to end up with at least a qp or more. Maybe closer to 5oz. Which for a 100 watt light in a 2x2 I am more than stoked about!!

Thanks man! Starting out I was hoping to keep a plant alive at least long enough to get a bit of smoke. So I am ecstatic with my final results.

So many helpful folks here on AFN to help new growers. I am grateful for such an awesome resource!
