I cheaped out, mine is the none controller ac infinity 6" i leave it at like 40% the whole grow, fan speed can only do so much, me thinks.. my temps never go over 80f and my rh stays 40-60, im within spec to grow monsters. I'm not breaking my neck to keep a vpd a certain way, you can have fun with that stress.

Growing is easy if u keep your tent 60-80f rh dont matter much if u have fans blowing, if its to low use a humidifer.

Thats what Im doing, i could care less about vpd right now as well. Its just a feature that the controller offers. I really like the ability to look while im not in the room though, and to have temp amd humidity thresholds...though im not using them quite yet. Figure that would be more detrimental for flowering to prevent bud rot. But its nice to be able to adjust everything anywhere in your house with Bluetooth, and you can get alerts for when your stuff isnt in the target range.

Basically I need to get my RH up to a consistent 50% at least.....but seeing as the autopots aren't on yet I can see why it's down...

Deceasing the temp, raising the RH, and increasing the light intensity can all lower your VPD.

Ok, experimenting with raising RH in the tent...put a 6" x 12" tupperware container 1/2 filled with water.....lets see if that does anything......then I can decide if I wanna try building a towel holder for it...since I'm just playing with freebie regs this grow I can use it to test and dial in different stages......

Good morning everyone!

Seeds are on the van out for delivery by 10am!

Also I prepped a pot yesterday afternoon to see what humidity would be like with a watered pot in the tent and my rh hasnt gotten above 63%. Its kinda low for a seedling and Im gonna make a humidity dome but I was thinking about getting a small humidifier anyway since my tent is in the basement and the rooms rh is about 12% lower than the rest of my place.

With that said. What tank size would be good for a 3x3x6 tent, and what style should I get, warm mist, cool mist, or ultra sonic? Ill be using distilled water only in it.

60% RH is ok for seedlings, skip the domes.

Do I understand it right that if I raise my RH% that my VPD will go down or is it the other way round.?
79.4 f, 34.3% RH, and 2.3kPaVPD.....as of right now.

Just look at the chart. if you keep the RH in the same column and you move the temperature up or down you can see the effect on VPD.

For example at 60% RH and 80.6°F the VPD = 1.22 at 77°F the VPD = 1.08 so you can see as the temperature goes down with the RH constant the VPD also goes down.

Here in this desert valley it is nearly impossible for me to maintain VPD it just gets too dry here. My goal is to keep the RH between 40% and 60%. Most of the time I can do this.
