Probably a good thing I didn't know about this stuff when I was playing with magnesium. The hole in the bench might have turned into a hole in the ground where the house used to be. I was a teen ager then, even stupider than I am now.

Ain't it neat!

I like watching it burn underwater!

We worked it out, and I made him dig it up, disassemble it and clean it!
Sounds good. Might have been different with the wrong two brothers. I honestly don't know what I would have done had I been in your position with one of my brothers.

On the topic of Indian bikes, I had one once, sort of. In my first year of university, I was staying with an older couple who were friends of my dad. The fellow was an antique car nut who spent his summer in Alaska cruising around looking for old abandoned vehicles in fields that he could buy cheaply, bring home, and re-furbish. He gave me an Indian bike in parts in boxes, other than the frame and wheels which were loose. Sadly, or perhaps fortunately given the average time to injury on those bikes, I never had the time to deal with the project while at school, so the bike never got built. Too bad really, I might have enjoyed the project and the results. Motorcycle ownership is one of life's adventures that I seem to have missed. :pighug:

Alrighty….think I got everything I need ordered…press has already shipped, I ordered parchment sheets, 100 micron bags, silicone jar thingies, dab tools, a Huni Badger with bubbler, pre press…..
What do you guys think….missing anything? :pass: Oh, and I’m picking up teeny tiny magnets at the dollar store.
sounds very much like you will soon be in business. Magnets? Maybe I missed something. To hold the parchment overhang up?

cold plate would be the only other thing that makes collecting rosin much easier but not needed anything cold metal will work I just use a piece of 3/8 “alum plate I have couple stored at room temp, frig, and freezer depending on how oily extraction is
I do the same. I adjust the cold intensity by counting the number of layers of cloth I put over the frozen aluminum plate. Works fine for me.

The best advice that I got for this mischief is to get real silicone parchment, most of the stuff out there is not really up to dealing with rosin. Just make certain to use the silicone side. You will not forget the first time rosin touches the wrong side of the sheet. At least I haven't.
