My understanding is ther so called UVB LEDs in cheap and mid priced lamps, are not UVB... UVB LEDs are very expensive. Unless it is a high end light, if it has UV added to it, it's likely UVC, which is worthless, or UVA which is what most UV LED bars use. UVA has more energy than UVB also so it makes it worthwhile as a supplement on a cost basis.
I realized with my FCE4800 that the added UV/IR was probably damaging my plants by having them too close. This run Im trying to keep the light higher above the canopy ("22-24") while maintaining proper DLI and hoping for better results
Interesting thank you for sharing I have heard of some people having that issue as well...But I have not noticed it yet:smoking: also though i don't push my plants real hard with lighting so that may make the difference
