So….here’s a question. Can you press fresh bud? Fresh frozen? Just cured?

also….once pressed does the rosin have a shelf life?:pass:
Just cured yes. No to the others. The press just squeezes the water out of fresh buds and gets everything soaking wet. Fresh frozen you're gonna need to process into hash 1st in order to press :pass:
Well I guess I am doing it all wrong most of my bud never makes it to cure :bong: Once it is dry enough to smoke it is dry enough to press for me:smoking::shrug:

thanks for the reps @Frank the Dank

Good Morfnoevight All you happy stoners.

I have pressed many many pounds of flower into rosin. I have tried no bag and many brands of bags. The 90micron bag improves yield by up to 20% over not using a bag. The cleanliness is no different it just presses more efficiently in a bag.

I like Dabpress or Rosin Tech bags the best. They are already sewn side in. I just looked at Rosin Tech and their prices are way too high!

I just bought 3 - packs (120)

I have tried ALL of the different parchment papers made for rosin or not. The Oil Slick is the way to go.

I built this press for less than $200. I have tools and the skills to use them to build my own plates but you can buy many styles for not too much money. My plates are 3x4 If I was to do it again I would go caged and 4x6. Complete instructions are in the DIY Rosin Press link in my signature.

It does not need to be ready to cure dry but not just picked wet either. Next time I do it I will try to remember to measure it with my wood meter.

:crying::crying::crying:Just how long do you think you will leave some gorgeous fresh rosin on the shelf?

No, seriously if you want to keep it more than a week or so you need to do it in airtight glass. I don't press very far ahead because pressing is more boring than growing Photos.

BTW, look how pretty they ended up!

Toes are "Creamsicle Orange" but I'll spare y'all the feet pics
You have nice hands especially for someone that works as hard as you do.

I was just wondering if it’s better to press as you go, or press a bunch while the plant is still fairly fresh (dry, but fresh). :pass:

Suki no, Molly not since we've had her but maybe previously. Definitely going to be doing slow introductions. Working on clearing out the former grow closet area so I can gate off the bathroom/powder room/closet for her safe area. Planning on setting her box up in that closet and keeping her food and water on the counter in the powder room. Have a tree on the way that I'm putting in our room (for now) so that once she is able to leave the safe area we can kinda keep her in our room and introduce her to other spaces slowly.
I've never had a dog that had any problems with a new kitten. New cats are a whole different story though :crying: I think dogs can totally tell something is a baby. And as long as the cat has nails, they'll usually police themselves
