Well, everything is ready for the next grow to start.
60 gal of Media is mixed and in two totes. It really doesn't need to 'cook' any. Just Roots Organic OG, Box Store EWC(quality is surprisingly good), used most of my DynoMyco dynamite stick, two solo cups of The Anderson's HumiChar(micronized humic acid and biochar). It was wetted and mixed as I went. Water was mixed 1/4 tsp humic acid per 5gal, 1/4 tsp/gal aminos, 1 tsp Recharge/gap and a tablespoon of Medina Horticultural molasses. Will check moisture levels this morning and add some if needed.
HLG light is hung and tested. PAR tests gave quite even test results with very even coverage at all power levels. At full power, 50-70 difference at the corners from the highest reading in the center. The only problem is the dimmer switch is bad. I called HLG tech and we got the problem found. They got in a batch of dimmers that had problems. A couple of new ones are being sent out today. No hoops to jump through like I had to do with Mars for the same replacement of a dimmer switch. I told him don't bother with any expedited shipping. No need for any added expense.
No big deal. I just need to review my seed selection to make sure I don't have extra long cycle girls planned. This run needs to be in the bags by Christmas.
For a box store product, the quality of the EWC seems to be quite good. No filler of any sort and it's ORMI cert. No life in it above the microbe level like your own or from local worm farmers, but I have a bag coming in from BAS for that.
I killed my worm bin during the stupid heat wave with it being in the laundry room and keeping the door closed.....not running the cetral a/c.
My local worm farm, Texas Worm Ranch, has moved to ABQ. Maybe she is going to take advantage of the new canna market there.
I'll order more worms from that big worm dealing old fart, once the temps decline a bit more for better shipping survival.
So I won't have worms on this run to help, but hopefully the stuff from BAS will have some beni bugs and maybe a few cocoons or babies.
It's off to feed da tittytats!
