Crumble finely....put in a jar.....cover in alcohol....I Use voddy 38% proof...but it is supposed to be 40%...hey...

Shake every day for 5 days...then seive.....Tincture....... ....

I guess what I'm after is more of canna oil end product, with little to no alcohol in it.

Hi, I have some experience with FECO (full extract cannabis oil), helped my dad with terminal cancer.
RSO is the same only done with naphta as the solvent, which I don't want.
If you can get high proof grain alcohol that's the way to go imho.
Tinctures are great really, downside is that you need to medicate by more important quantity.
In my country high proof alcohol is forbidden, so I will have to go the press route...

I watched a vid with a guy doing it with heat in the "shake canna in the jar" stage and reduction stage,
I don't want to use heat. I have a little hot plate and assorted beakers, so I could do that method.

I dunno. I was really wanting to do a cold method, but I think that will take too long.


So, I guess what I need to know is how much canna to EverClear do I need?
Would 2oz be enough for a good test or should I go up to 4oz?
With this accurate hot plate, can I forgo a double boiler with water set up and just evap directly with the beaker sitting on it......ON the back porch. I've got funnels and coffee filters to filter out the plant material and trich 'husks'
At least the decarb part will be easy with the ArentFX!
Any tips would be appreciated!

Did you mix equal weights of plant and sugar and let it get 'wet'?
Looks like it needs to be pressed down to get the most air from between the material.

Yeah, its mixed up and pressed down pretty good, but ill give it another little push to get more air out. Thanks for the advice

No experience with that, but plenty of cooking food. I would suggest the double boiler. Gives a bit of a safety net

2 ounces is good…..decarb and break the buds down a bit….no need to go crazy. You can do it in a jar or beaker….or a clean wide pan will be faster…..if you do the pan method only evaporate about 80% and pour into your beaker and finish that way. If making rso….go slow with the last bit of evap….and stir it around. You may even add a touch of water at the end….seems to help get the last bits of alcohol out.

you just want to almost cover your bud with the booze, exact measurements aren’t needed since you’re pulling it all out anyway.

No it’s not, RSO is made with butane! U talking like tincture style but u wanna then evaporate all the alcohol off to keep the concentrated stuff left behind??
Edit* guess could be RSO I’ve never made it! Was thinking BHO tho!
