Have a stupid amount to catch up on, #3 has had me in the kitchen every day this week. My gmas bday was yesterday but my mom was out of town so we did cake tonight instead. Which was #3s idea which meant we were making another cake lmao.

Coconut cake with cream cheese frosting, toasted coconut, and a buttercream "flower garden" in a "grandma's couch from the 70s" color scheme lol. Which meant we learned how to make buttercream flowers last night :rofl::rofl:

Two perfectly baked 8" coconut cake layers

Colors inspired by the fancy velour (?) armchair my grandparents had in their formal living room when I was growing up, lol

Side view, my grandma keeps her house uncomfortably warm so the flowers were trying to slide off the sides :rofl:

Inside view, note the heat induced melty frosting lol

@Suki813 .................Curds.......................................is that a US thing..or just Canada.........?

We don't Do curds in the UK............I'm sure I saw someone........maybe @Frank the Dank using them and I meant to Ask then.......:chef:
Curds are an integral part of poutine in Canada. We have curds in the states but I think they're most common in the midwest/upper Midwest. Only time I see them offered in restaurants here they are usually battered and fried but that's mostly only at hipster type places.

Nickel to quarter sized hail would be biblical here. I've definitely never seen quarter sized hail. Pea to dime size is what we get, briefly, maybe half a dozen times a year. Nickel sized would make the news :windy:
We get golfball sized occasionally
