Am I the only one who sees just how horribly inefficient that is? They could easily just be manning registers. I am sure they aren't volunteers.

I haven't been in a Walmart in years but the grocery store I go to has at least 2 dozen self checkout things that take up the space of like 3 registers. And they have 2-3 people managing all of them. Home Depot has 1 person for every 6 self registers

I also got kicked outta Singapore back in the early 2000’s….. but that that’s another story.

I got kicked off of Main Street in my town for a whole summer for being a punk kid

it'z jus u the self-checkoutz are all i've uzed for yearz now....fuck a buncha standin in line ppp

Oh you would hate them here, longer lines than the actual check out lanes.
Like people will actually stand in a longer line just to continue being anti social. And what amazes me is 3 people are standing there pointing at customers which self check out to go to like it's not obvious when one is open instead of just having 3 more open lanes. More times than not also having to guide people through them. Society is doomed.
