Grow Mediums Barney’s Farm LSD-25 (photo) in 8.5L Autopots w/coco, TF nutrients, and AutoCobs

they still make those pins eh! going to pick some up. looks like a real low negative impact approach. easier less effort than tie downs too. liking it.

Let me know how it works for you. Stoner ingenuity at it's finest. All the stores around here still carry them.

Day 42/11

Still chugging along. Came home last night and both of the Technaflora girls trays were empty. So I got out my 60 ml syringe and blew out the line to the reservoir and both lines going to the autovalves. That problem solved for now I decided to throw an extra tray in the tent and drop Bobbie right in there. Will see how a fabric pot will work in the tray. In the pics you will see the tray is exposed to light. I know this will cause problems down the road and plan on enclosing it with aluminum foil. I just happen to be out of foil right now.

They are still yellowing on the bottom leaves so I will be upping the nutrients on both reservoirs this week. I now have the exhaust set to stay off during lights on until 89f and I really don’t see them stressing out about it. I had the lights down to 27 inches but don’t like the lack of stretch I’m getting and took them back up to 30.

I found a fabric geopot that fits in the autotrays but its a bit snug. That could be a problem for me because I remove pots from the tray to defoliate etc and I can show how it could be hard to put the pot back in and possibly harm roots trying to squish it back in.

I want to try fabric pots with airdomes just to see how they perform. Plus I need some more pots to start plants in because my real autopots are being used.

I think I'll load up that geopot with some coco and see how it works in the tray and being lifted out and set back in. Also want to go to a local hydro gardening store and see if I can get slightly smaller pots.

If I can get this working I'll be able to start me next grow sooner. I could go about 30 days before I need the trays and turn on the reservoir. That would be huge for making more harvests per year.

That does look that tight. I have some other sizes around I could try at a later date. I didn’t expect to be throwing this girl into a tray so there is no airdome inside the pot. I did consider making a circle with some rainbird irrigation tubing, hooking it to the air, and the putting in the tray underneath the fabric pot. Although it might be interesting to see what it does the way it is.

The Mega Crop reservoir was down below 2 inches, so I mixed up 5 liters with the week 3-4 bloom ratios, added the appropriate amount of drip clean, pH it down to 6.2 and dumped it in. The nutrients at that level come out to 750ppm, 1.5EC. I bumped it up a week early because Juanita still looks hungry.

Be sure to check and clean those autovalves regularly. Juanita had hers clog tonight and she had hardly any water left in the tray. Quick blowout with a syringe cleared it for now and the valves will get a more detailed cleaning tomorrow.
