Update time. I currently have all four of my [HASHTAG]#autopots[/HASHTAG] running. One has two Alf#5 ladies, running on the 5 gallon bucket rez I built. Then there are two giant girls in the “show” tent, they are on the rez that came with the kit. The last is in the baby tent not connected yet, I just put a [HASHTAG]#Mephisto[/HASHTAG] GWK in the dirt in there.
I’m running the [HASHTAG]#DutchPro[/HASHTAG] soil regimen in all. I like it, still not convinced I don’t have to fiddle about unmercifully but I’m sitting on my hands and things are looking great. It certainly is nice to not be constantly mixing and feeding. I’m currently going through 16 gallons every 6 days.

Hmmm. I think I may try to add a stone. I think it may help keeping the pond scum out. And maybe keep microbes n stuffs that I know nothing about alive? Idk.
And if checking pH regularly. Shouldn't be much different than a dwc I wouldn't think?
Just back in the back cleaning up and looking at un used equipment. And pondering how to up my game. Cuz I been falling behind the class lol.

yes, that was same I heard... But.... I also don't like my nutrients being stagnant I'm getting ph drifting not using the stone I am thinking of giving a shot, who knows maybe it will balance out my problem..

If you and @Ash-a-Ton are talking about keeping the res stirred use a small pump. A bout 10 bucks on amazon just drop it in. It stir but doesn’t aireate.

If your going to use a pump, put it on a digital timer set to 5 minutes on once per hour. Otherwise you build up heat in the res and you know where that goes.. Also, I've yet to see someone run an airstone in an auto pot res and not have PH issues. It not the same as hydro. If the res bothers you, get a paint stirrer for your cordless drill and give it a good stir every day or so. I stir once a week and I've had no problems. Nor have I since I began using auto pots three years ago and stirring is something I only recently do to be sure I keep the megacrop in suspension. I've never found algae in my res when cleaning them between grows, no signs of bacteria. And I use to use Seagrow, which is mostly organic.

But you can use an airdome? Wouldn't it be the same at the bottom of the pot???

I do not think the water sits long enough in the airdome for anything to happen
