yo dude looking sweet, thank god the new beans popped! im not sure about the air stones maybe ask seymore what he uses, i tried two air stones and a lot of air and it was like the water was boiling in there, to much! it twisted all the roots and broke a few also..

I've used airstones in all my grows and never had a problem with the roots, you should check and wash the airstones from time but other than that i think they're useful. Good luck on the grow, looking good so far.

Shop said my pump wont be here untill thursday :cry:.
Tho on a good note i have my new ec pen.
So im gonna make a ress up 2night of formulex and rhizotonic at .7ec and 5.8ph. And use the standard oxypot pump untill thursday. I will be fine as im sure the tap root will have only just made it to top off ress.
Ill change ress on thursday with new pump aswell.

Damn Thats a nice root bowl for 26 days m8.

I was quite impressed with the amount of air the standard pump was moving , i got the ario 2 with mine. Guess that is what yout are using bud?

you'll be amazed once them roots get going, first few days are slow and painfull..lol..

did you see seymours finished root pic on his td??he basically filled up the whole pot, i think its the secret to the massive plants!!! and just for a little comparison heres my roots on day 27 with a 7lpm pump..
im definatly gonna upgrade for the next grow..

Funny enough m8 , i just came back from checking and no roots showing yet .
I made a ress of formulex + rhizotonic last night at .7ec 5.8ph , thought id check again now and the EC was the same , but the ph had risen to 6.6?? is that normal?
So i ph'ed the liter i drain off test , to 2.2ph then put ot back into the ress and mixed it up , and it droped back to 5.9ph. Is it normall to raise 1.0ph in a matter of 12/14 hours?

i have had that happen a few times, you soaked your hydroton so it shouldnt really creep up that much.. how long did you leave it after mixing? sometimes it takes a while for ph up/down to mix in, and water temps can make it swing too.
20 litres per min is gonna be sweet bro.. gonna be good to see how the roots progress, hopefully you will fill the pot up too!

I soaked the hydrocorn for 3 or 4 days. I think its water temps tbh , i have that 125w cfl very close to the top of the pot , like about 2" away , and i also have that ario 2 pump sat inside the ress.
I just order a lighthouse 2012 blackstar 240 3w leds. should be here this week im hoping.

temps sounds like the culprit..you using any sort of heater in there? it might help, then everytime you change res you can aim for the same temp you had before.
