New Grower Northern Cheese Haze - RDWC - Stealth Closet - First Grow Journal

Still waiting! Interesting development, one of my plants seems to be somewhat of a mutant? the seedling stem grew in a sort of corkscrew shape out of the rockwool, and continues to do so out of the hydroton! Will be interesting to see what happened !

You probably damaged it in the transplant and the scar tissue is causing the deformation. One of the many reasons I do not transplant.

It was one of the two that got stuck under the rockwool while sprouting. I had to help two of seedlings out, one grew much slower , this one was a bit curly. I decided to stick with the curly one that showed more promising growth, but the spiral shaped stem seems to be continuing to grow in a spiral! Probably damaged when it sprouted, hopefully it didnt receive any more from the transplant!

Whenever I have a seed that cannot make it out of the rock wool on its own I trash them. I want seedlings with vigor!

Probably a good call and a learning opportunity for me! I had 2/5 unable to sprout, helped them with some tweezers. One was coiled/corkscrewed the other crooked. The coiled one had much more vigorous growth compared to the crooked one so I kept it! I guess well see how it plays out?
Pythium smell has decreased, browning has slightly decreased, Ill give it another day and take some photos !

Here is how the plants are looking:
14 days post sprout!
Weird spirally one first!

Be sure to top water with some of the HydroGuard nutrients so it can get in the top of the Hydroton and starter cube.

So pour some hydroguard + ph treated water into netpots?

No, just use some out of the reservoir. If you ever get crown rot I put strait Hydroguard on it and it stopped it. the plant made it to maturity.

Another day, they are looking healthy! Roots are in good condition! A little bit of curling because the humidity got too low today (humidifier ran out of water).
Spirally-plant is still lagging a bit behind the others, I added a bit more hydroton to prevent the leaves from being inhibited by the net pot after I took these pics!

Still pretty curly , they don’t like the humidity fluctuation. Going to need to be more attentive in changing out the water until they are a bit older. That or the tent is getting too hot ‍♂️ All doing fairly well. Curly one is a bit stunted , and one of them has a leaf that got bent by hitting the net cup as it grew.
