That's South Jersey. Pretty much Appalachia around there without the hills. Definitely not the jersey anybody thinks of. That's about 2 hours (75ish miles) from my house. I've never met anybody who thought they saw the devil. And I used to be kinda into local weird shit. It's Phillies and Eagles country down there and I don't associate with those types

We call them pineys down there. It's deep woods country. Real cheap real estate and easy to get lost. No gas stations in the woods or cell service out there. But in reality it's maybe 45 minutes from the jersey shore
