So, I saw someone mention yesterday that if you're growing in soil using bottled nutes you should be growing in coco instead, as soil is pointless if you're not using organic dry ammendments. Is there any validity to that or is that just one of many opinions?
Here's my GG4 Auto #1 in soil at 57 days, and #2 in coco at 56 days. The coco is twice as tall, a lot more robust, and stayed dark green (so far):

Same batch of seeds by GGStrains, via HembraGenetics. General Hydroponics Flora series nutes and CALiMAGic for both, but it's a lot easier to get it right in coco, because old nutes don't accumulate if you can water to 10% runoff every day without getting water-logged. (Thanks @Mañ'O'Green for the great tutorial.)

who said this ,,, :smoking:

:peek: Dunno @hairyman ..never saw a thing....Do you add dry organic amendments to your soil.....?....I don't............:watering:...

No harm done at all @arty zan I think @420Forever just meant cause I'm having a rough morning tbh.
Hey @Suki813 sorry to hear you had a rough day!
Sending:vibes: to you!
I've been out all day and briefly dipped in to the forums this morning, so I have missed all that's been happening!
I hope things have eased up and are more mellow for you now!
I'm sending you a super big luxury hug across the ether and hope it soothes that which ails you!:bighug:x 10 :astar:
Big spilff and nice warn drink with a spot of something naughty in it, I hope will make you feel all warm and cozy!:pass:***Arty passes to Suki***
It is never nice having a bad day, If I can ever lend a hand, let me know, you know you have friends at AFN!:headbang:
If you don't have a real fire to curl up in front of turn up the heating notch and pop this video, to have with your spliff!
Put it up full screen!

High 80s today so no fire for me. I'm feeling a but better if not a bit disassociated now, hubby brought me along to take #2 to practice and we're headed to the hardware store and then food shopping. Didnt end up needing the paint thinner I bought and I got the wrong kind of wood putty so gonna swap for the right stuff and some more sandpaper. Spent some time tending the girls, which always helps.

Some one may have misunderstood me. IMPO if you are going to grow in soil you might as well go TLS - True Living Soil. The amount of work involved in feeding a salt based fertilizer to soil is about the same as maintaining TLS. Most growers will have far better results with TLS over salt. It is so easy to get a pot of soil out of balance with salt. New growers often water wrong resulting in a salt build up in the pot. I am not saying it cannot be done but the learning curve is a steep one. I think your time would be better spent learning TLS in an earthbox.

Use Salt in hydroponics - all forms.
