Shhhiitt Your married just remember that itβs ours not yours and youβd be lost without me and thatβs a fact and you know it! So hush your mouth! And tell the truth I NEVER go down there so
At the hospital, take everything they give you and ask for more. We went home with trashbags full of diapers, wipes, formula, all kinds of shit just because I asked if they had any extras.
You want a go bag, not just your wife. Especially if you go with a c section and have to be there 3 days. I didn't change for 3 days and ate gas station food the entire time. Take your own damn pillow, too. You wife will get a whole bed and you'll get a tiny torture chair that kind of lays flat if you have 20/500 vision.
While you are the hospital its your time to practice and make sure you are doing things right. Change the diapers, let the nurses watch and critique you and tell you what you are doing right and wrong. Same for swaddling and that sort of stuff.
Learn to nap. You will need it. 20 minute power naps can be a life saver.
If you can, breast milk. Formula is so damned expensive. We spent hundreds a month on it, because my wife needed to be on medication she couldn't nurse on.
