- Ask the hubby he switches it up often lol
It’s definitely a c section baby and they have to induce me early by 36 weeks from past medical issues during pregnancies, I know my hubby will definitely grab bags full of everything thing he can take and grab , and I know he will be pacing back and forth for much he will have a lap track in the room that’s after he wakes back up from passing out from watching our son be born lol he has a weak sensitive stomach and will definitely be gaggin and pukin smh so I’ve had to prewarn the doc about it. And we will definitely not be using formula if we can help it plus the cost of it is godly insane and there’s still a shortage where we live so that’s a huge worry for me. I have a list of what I know he will need but I worry about him needing to smoke so I’m going to have to make a whole weeks worth of edibles just so I know he is okay with weed and probably a couple of cartons of cigs lol , he doesn’t show emotions on the outside but I know him and when he sees this baby he will I’m beyond excited to hold this baby I’m still on bedrest and rely so much on ink .Serious advice -
At the hospital, take everything they give you and ask for more. We went home with trashbags full of diapers, wipes, formula, all kinds of shit just because I asked if they had any extras.
You want a go bag, not just your wife. Especially if you go with a c section and have to be there 3 days. I didn't change for 3 days and ate gas station food the entire time. Take your own damn pillow, too. You wife will get a whole bed and you'll get a tiny torture chair that kind of lays flat if you have 20/500 vision.
While you are the hospital its your time to practice and make sure you are doing things right. Change the diapers, let the nurses watch and critique you and tell you what you are doing right and wrong. Same for swaddling and that sort of stuff.
Learn to nap. You will need it. 20 minute power naps can be a life saver.
If you can, breast milk. Formula is so damned expensive. We spent hundreds a month on it, because my wife needed to be on medication she couldn't nurse on.
