That farm soil was not good, water would help but is it available or has drought conditions knackered everything?
Hard soil high clay content, with large rough pieces of (not broken down) fibrous material, no signs of any real organic matter.
Bone dry and using a polyculture mulch layer, stops weeds and if not permeable, no water for young roots.
I'm sure there is a lot more the video isn't telling us, as to why it is so barren!
Or is it just Global warming?

Back then you did not have to have a license for cyanide bait and we had no clue about potential ground water contamination. Moles and gophers did not have a chance. I have used traps, flooding, carbon monoxide, dogs and 12ga on them.


That soil looks virgin to me. They just scraped of the cactus and vegetation and tried to plant it???????????

I still can't get myself to love dabbing, as much as I try. I think I really just like the ritual and nostalgia and habit of smoking I mostly dab if I'm trying to get mega stoned or if I've gotta do it quick
