Apparently not. I just had to figure this out like, this week. Check my current grow thread but solution seemed to be lowering my rez well below the dripper level

Saw that on your thread, but trying not to raise my plants any higher. I think they make check valves that only open at a certain amount of pressure. So, idle, there wouldn't be enough pressure to open them until the pump comes on???

Also saw a setup where someone put in a floraflex air bleed valve higher than the res and plants. So, the solution goes from the res, through the pump, then up, through a filter and the air bleed valve, then drops down and to the plants. Will look for that vid and will post in a few

The only thing we got when losing was a teachable moment on how not to get your ass kicked the next time. No trip to the snack bar after losing! Played all through childhood and into college. Soccer, football, baseball, and skated. Soccer in college on a scholarship at Cal until my knees went to complete shit.

Think I should have been a hockey player though. Fit my style a bit better! Now let's take the train into the city for a Devils/Islanders game!
Rutgers soccer here :crying: Would be happy to meet for a Rangers game

Question for you hydro peoples: Will check valves prevent siphoning from the res?
put in a floraflex air bleed valve higher
:yeahthat:this may help but the check valve did not help me I need drip emitters installed to stop siphoning:shrug::wall:.. If anyone knows how properly plumb and hydro rez links, pic, videos, anything will help us all:d5:

Thing with check valves is they don't close unless you get enough back pressure, and would never stop slowly leaking. I couldn't find any check valves that fit 1/2in tubing correctly but @Dale's Proper Bud has a custom setup he made from Lowes you might want to look into :d5:

Have communicated with him a couple times about his Floraflex items. Going with pretty much the same setup as his. Just need to figure out the siphoning thing. Will be going to a plumbing supply place later this week!

I don't think the emitters will help. They really only stop max outflow but no control other then that. If the pressure is lower, they'll keep dripping on gravity. I thought they would shut off with the pump but that's not how it seems to work
