Both had equal rights to their claims of fame, both standing well apart from the 80's glam style rock age, breaking new ground into a new age for many future 'rock' bands... IMO.

But vocally, Layne was a far superior talent.

apples and oranges. two completely different bands and music for that matter. Both tossed into the corporate fruit basket called grunge. Two bands I was in played with both and either could blow the doors off of bars/clubs

yes he did. I totally agree. I seen them when they came back with there new singer. He did a pretty good job and with jerry and his harmonizing made it sound close but still not the same.

Nirvana was definitely more famous. But I really think alot of that had to do with him killing himself.

That reminds me of the Y2K project I was on. I got assigned to audit and remediate around 12,000 COBOL code files, but I refused to allow COBOL on my resume, so I wrote a PERL script to scan the code for vulnerabilities. I stand by that decision to this day.

Never admit to knowing COBOL, FORTRAN, VBA and fixing the printer. You’ll never get away from doing it.

Haha perhaps next time…..it’s a cheap cut of meat so I make it often :pass:
