Dang! Haven't been down that trail, but when we lived up in the Brooks range the sod roof caught fire twice. Could smell the tarp under the sod begin to go up in smoke. As close as I've been to scorched earthWe've even burned the whole thing down to smoking ash and started overjust got to keep on keeping on:smoking:
Haven't had the house burn down yet fortunately...lost a pretty well-equipped shop with the battery bank and associated gear, diesel generator, power tools, lumber etc

It was touch and go for the houses at the peak of the blaze, the water line was melted so kids and buckets saved the daythen it would be.....move into the shop for awhile

The main season starts July 1 but there's a point coming soon where I have to start focusing on the boat and gear etc.
