Mephisto Genetics Double Grape & Autocobs, Hooray!

Have you checked the run off?

I Am far from an expert but in my experience if the run off is the same as you put it you should be good. If the run off is considerably higher or lower there could be an issue.

Hm. Maybe. Though I actually don't know if that's something that'd help me with a hempy bucket. It's got a reservoir but since it's top-watered rather than recirculating or continually aerated like dwc I feel like the PH values wouldn't act the same way. I'll try it next watering though and see what I find.

I was thinking the same thing. It is def worth a shot though. I would think if the run off is +/- a point or 2 everything should be ok. If the run off is drastically different there could be an issue. Hope everything works out for you!

Day 50 for Thing 1. She's still putting on bud but whatever issue she's having hasn't stopped. She's had three days of her usual feed amended with a dose (1.25g/gallon) of dry KoolBloom powder which has a ton of P in it, so...hopefully it'll start to help soon if this is indeed a P deficiency. Thing 3 has started to show some issues as well - so far it looks like the same problem Thing 1 is dealing with. :wall:

The further this grow goes the more I'm regretting using the Growstones in place of the perlite/vermiculite blend I used for my first grow. In researching the possible causes of P deficiency it looks like one of the things that can cause it is an overabundance of calcium, and one of the two "ingredients" used to create Growstones is calcium carbonate. Maybe it's got something to do with the problems I'm seeing, maybe not. Regardless, I won't be using it again.

Other than the problems I'm having I love how this plant is growing. She's putting on a ton of bud and is frostier overall than any plant I've grown so far. Very, very impressed with Mephisto already.

Thanks for looking, y'all. Any tips/insight/advice is much appreciated!

leafs look rough but the cola is shaping up nice. May look like a giant bud growing out the soil here soon.

Lol. Yeah, she's not 100% filled in on the main cola but pretty close and crazy, crazy frosty. Hoping this issue I'm having with her settles down soon so she can keep packing on weight. When she's bumped around she smells like fruity candy, it's awesome. I can't wait to smoke a lil bit. :smoking:

Hey man,I haven't got much knowledge on hempys, but regarding your runoff...your ec should be going down, and ph rising.this is a sure sign that the plant is feeding properly.but if the runoff ec is higher than you put in or your ph is dropping the feed is too strong.like I said,I haven't got much knowledge on growing in hempys,I grow in coco.buds look lovely in her though man :pass:

Yeah, I still need to check the runoff. It's just a pain to do so with my setup but I'll try to get to it tonight. I have a TDS meter but I honestly don't use it much - I'm not sure it's accurate. I've just been making sure I keep the PH stable since I've had issues with it in previous grows. I'll keep it all in mind though and see what I can figure out. And yeah, besides this current hassle I'm quite fond of her as well.

Could be Toxicity, @awolace mentioned to me that shiny dark green is nitrogen tox.

I looked at that too when I was scouring the diagnosing threads in the Infirmary. In my mind it doesn't fit - no delayed maturity, definitely not a tall plant with a weak stem, no lesions on the stems, no clawing, no decreased water uptake. And from what I can see, Indica-dominant plants tend to have darker green leaves than Sativa-dominant, which certainly seems to be true of my two ladies. I wish I could get pics in better light, because I see a bit of a bluish tint to the plant with the more advanced issue, which can also be a sign of P problems. Ugh. :frowny:

She looks great though! nice frosty and insane

Yes indeed! The frost is truly amazing. My first Mephisto grow and I'm hooked. I can't wait to try the scissor hash. :baby:How old are yours? I had a look at your journal earlier, they all look great!
