Mephisto Genetics Double Grape & Autocobs, Hooray!

Day 21 for Thing 3. She's *just* started to show sex, and is much smaller than her sister. It's the weirdest thing - she's smaller, darker green, and has been taking less and less water, but doesn't seem to be dying. Did I stunt her somehow, or is the difference in growth just a pheno thing? I'm not experienced enough to know what's normal plant variation and what's stunting/some other issue. Anyone able to advise? @Waira , @mephisto , @iampepe , maybe?

Yeah, I guess it is just stunted - there's one fan leaf that looks to have a teensy bit of chlorosis on the outer edges but other than that I can't find any signs of disease/deficiency. There looks to be some algal growth inside the bucket but from what I've read that's not necessarily a terrible thing. The only thing I can think of that I might have done is that I planted it in the Growstones the same day it broke the surface of the rockwool, but how that would cause it to stunt is beyond me. Oh well. It's definitely small, but it is starting to flower so at least I'll get something from it.

Mine put on a big stretch after she showed flowers

Hey bro are you using any bennies?..my first grow was hempys i used hydroguard for them..ive since switched to coco and use recharge now. They do wonders for your gals:d5:....just a thought..the recharge is supposed to help your plant uptake nutes at a wide ph swing and help against calmag lockout

Yep, I'm running Mammoth P with every watering. To be honest I'm starting to wonder if it's the medium I'm in. My first grow (no journal for it) was in Hempy bucket with Perlite & Vermiculite, and it grew a nice big old plant. Then I switched to Growstones for my second and got a small plant and now my third I'm still using Growstones and both plants are smaller than expected. I switched to Growstones thinking they'd be a better/more durable option than the perlite/vermiculite, but so far I'm not seeing any real advantage. Coco is next on my list - just waiting for some funds to come in and then I'll be ordering some smart pots and Canna coco to start seeing what I can do with it. Probably gonna switch from Hempy style to drain-to-waste for awhile as well, just to keep things interesting.

What nute schedule/brand are you using? I see a lot of people favoring AN in coco. I've still got a fair bit of my KISS nutes (Maxibloom, etc) to use up but when they're gone I'm planning on giving AN nutes a shot.

I switched to fabric pots as they are cheap and disposable with 70/30 coco pearlite. Never look back once you switch.I use GH stuff..my lineup is now GH silica, cal mag +, flora blend, floralicious +, rapid start, FN grow and recharge. During flower its silica, calmag +,maxibloom, floralicious +, flora nectar, koolbloom, dry koolbloom..i feed everyday..after first week flood twice a day...some folks say you dont have to feed everyday but the secret is to keep it wet..dont let coco dry out you will run into ph issues and lockout..super secret coco ph is.....6 they pretty much grow themselves..i also dont run super high ppm..plants fo great 500-600 ppm max
..im new also but seem to have pretty good luck...oh and @mephisto is where its at..

Day 37 for Thing 1. She's getting frosty! I'll try to get better pics soon - can only do so much with the phone on my camera. :smoking:

I'm really looking forward to moving on to coco after this grow. I had great results with my first hempy grow (not shown on the site) but my last two grows with Growstones as the medium seem to both have produced quite small plants. So, onto bigger & better things!

Pics!
