Possibly? If anything though I actually feel like it was a bit too dry. (why the seed didn't pop the first time) I think it had more to do with my placing the seed too shallow in the seed hole in the rockwool once I saw it had popped the taproot upwards and I replaced it taproot-down.

In any case, behold!

She ain't much, but she's hanging in there!

Now, all I need to do is finally order myself a new exhaust fan. Temp in the tent as of about a half hour ago was 90F. I really need to figure out how to get my environment dialed in, but until I can move it from where it's currently situated (against an outside wall that faces the sun all damn day) just gotta kinda roll with the punches.

Anyway, just a little update. I'll be checking later today to see if seed number 3 has popped. We're about to have a full house indeed!

Alrighty, time for an update!

Ultimately, the weird little "lazarus" seedling ended up getting culled. I just decided to stick with my original plan of two plants for this run, and that the third seed I popped had a better overall chance at growing nice & strong for me. Maybe when I'm more experienced I'll hang onto the odd wierdo plant to see how they grow but right now I'm just focused on being able to keep myself in a steady supply of meds.

Anyway! Today is Thing 1's two-week anniversary. Thing 3 is on day 2. Not much else to report at the moment other than that I bumped up the nutrient schedule back to full strength, so please enjoy the pics!

Updates, hooray!

Day 22 for Thing 1 & Day 10 for Thing 3. Lights are still 24/0. Full-strength nutes w/10ml CALiMAGic per gallon. Thing 1 is drinking 20-22oz a day & Thing 3 right around 16oz. Might be a *teensy* bit overkill on the cal-mag but last grow I was at 6ml/gallon and getting a deficiency, so...

Thing 1 in all her glory. As you can see, she's shown sex and is getting ready to stretch. Some of the fan leaves have a bit of a crinkling to them - I'm assuming that's the Grape Crinkle showing through?

Day 14 for Thing 3.

I'm seeing a couple very light areas of discoloration that have me a bit concerned - anyone able to advise on what might be going on in the red circled areas?

Day 29 for Thing 1. She's definitely done some stretching! Has a bit of an asymmetry going on with one of her lower branches - only one side has a bud. The other bud sites aside from the main cola are tight against the main stem rather than further out among the side branches like you'd expect. Not sweating it, just interesting to note. I can already see trichomes forming on the smaller leaves, and she smells wonderful whenever she gets jiggled around. I've decided not to do a whole lot of LST on these two, just so I can get an idea of how they grow on their own. Some leaf-tucking here and there though.

@mephisto & others who have grown DG before - I'm getting a bit of stem purpling on both my ladies, is this something I should be keeping an eye on/working to correct, or?

I've seen those random light colored areas on leaves several times on different strains, its nothing to worry about they'll grow out of it.

Purple stems can be several things and normally isn't something I worry about. It can be genetics, low magnesium, too high or too low of a PH and stress. Your plant looks healthy, I think she's fine. Happy growing

My grape also has purple in the stems, I am guessing it is genetic.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on them and they don't seem to be getting any worse so I think you're right. I actually think they might just be a couple water spots so no biggie.

Right on. I had them on the Blue Dream I ran before I started these and I still got some really good smoke out of it, so I'm not super worried - just something I noticed and figured was worth asking about.
