New Grower Autos at week 11 but don't look ready yet...could do with an experts eye and general feedback.

Ah same here...it's gonna be great dipping into a different jar to get a different effect and taste haha! What strains have you got going?

It'll be worth the wait if you get it right...I'm already worried about the drying and curing haha, hopefully it'll go to plan ey. I'm building up quite a list of strains for future grows...maybe indoor under an LED.

Haha cheers for the rep :woohoo1: and it's yeah its great, such a good way to rebel against the law...good old gardening community haha!
My thread's in my signature if you'd care for a look. I have Sweet Seeds from a mixed pack, a Sumo White Widow, an unknown from the Autoflower Portal, FastBuds Girl Scout Cookies and Mephisto Grape Stomper near maturity. Then, a bit younger, I have Dinafem Critical 2.0+ and Heavyweight 2Fast2Vast. And two photo clones.

If you have a Home Bargains near you I've heard their paper lunch bags (packs of 10) are good for the drying!

Haha i'm a bit clueless on this site still...where do I find the signature and thread? I can see a couple of links at the bottom of your post? Can't wait to pop some Mephisto beans. I'd like to try them out on my first indoor grow- Toofless Alien and Auto Blues, I reckon.

I wish I had a bit more of a private corner in the garden to grow some outdoor strains...Some of Dutch Passions strains look beaut...and big haha!

Yeah I do! I'll drop by in the week. So after trimming and hanging etc. the buds go in the bags instead of jars?

Nice work!! Looking great so far!!

Thanks a lot! :d5: Unfortunately I've noticed a small amount of rot on one of the buds on the Pineapple Express's lower branches. I've cut it all out and binned it. Any tips for preventing it or treating it would be gratefully received! It does feel quite humid in there at the moment.

Yes, that's my signature area, and my threads. Click on one and it'll take you straight there.

I'm going to run Mephistos in my wilma next grow around, because I have two of a few different kinds!

You can hang them in the bags to dry for a while, some find it more convenient because the bags can be put anywhere the humidity is around 60 and fairly stable.

Do you have a hygrometer to measure the humidity? They can be slightly inaccurate but there's an easy way to tell how far out one is. Get your hygrometer and put it in a plastic self-seal bag with a plastic bottle top filled with salt that's been dampened with a few drops of water. You don't want it runny, just moist. Seal the bag and leave it alone for at least 8 hours. After that, see what the hygrometer reads. You are looking for 75%. If it's reading higher, e.g 80, you know your meter reads 5% above the true figure. If it's 70, it's 5 below. Mark on the meter + or - however many, or write it down somewhere.

The best thing I can suggest to get the humidity down if it's too high is increase the airflow. Can you run a fan? I've been told that plants in flower increase the humidity rate by themselves, so I would try and get it to 50 or less. I have no chance with mine, unless I get a dehumidifier with a compressor. The sort of thing with vents in for wardrobes etc do not work in my tents...

Hope this helps! I don't know if @912GreenSkell treats any bud rot or gets away with it, I expect he'll be along later and will tell us.

Just a quick question about indoor...how many plants would you suggest for a 50/50/100 grow tent and one LED (Mars Hydro or similar). I know it depends on wattage but we'll have to see how the bank balance is doing and go from there haha!

Haha you're a fountain of knowledge  So helpful, thank you! Yes, just laid some armoured cable from the main house so electricity is in there. I've got one fan going and 4 openable windows inc. the door that only get pulled to at night. Maybe another/ bigger fan could help.

Like you said circulation is the best prevention...silica additives are also said to decrease mold, but i am just testing myself the first season outdoors right now.

Realistically, one! That's a very limited head height so you'll need to do a lot of training or LST (low stress training also known on here as bondage) to keep her far enough away from the light. If you went for a 60x60x140 I would say you might get away with two. I'm trying it, anyway LOL. I've not used any of the Mars or Viparspectra lights so I can't comment on them. My last UK indoor grow was with HPS, and you can't do that in a small tent. When I came back from Tenerife I went straight over to cobs - I'd been using CFLs out there.

How big is the greenhouse? And the fan size? It might be worth having a fan at each end and/or, if you have the room, consider a secondhand decent size dehumidifier.

I'm always happy to pass on knowledge I've been given or have learned along the way! :vibe:That's what the AFN vibe is all about. And if you get a chance this weekend, pop into Live Stoners Chat and view the Current Gossip thread, and maybe post. That's where a load of us hang out, play music and chat about all sorts of things (but not politics or religion). Once you get your post count up and take part in things you can earn badges if you want to. We have regular parties, they always get badged. AFN is a great place, I've not been here a year yet but I feel so at home and have met people in person that are on here. Everyone's really friendly!

Ah well in that case i'd just get the bigger tent...or try to really nail one plant in the small tent and get a good yield with LST etc.

It's 8' wide by 12' long and 7' high from floor to apex. A dehumidifier could be the solution yes, i'll have a look online and educate myself on them ha!

Haha that sounds like a good time, i'll be sure to swing by! Meeting other growers would be so great! I'd like to go to one of those big annual events- Brighton or London or someplace like that. Just to meet others with the same interests and swap info.

If you have space indoors, get a 4x4. You've got the best chance then of growing 4 plants with a bit of training. I'd have one, but there's not enough room at the bottom of my bed LOL.

Nice size greenhouse! I'll get myself a polytunnel one day, at least that's the eventual plan...

Don't know about any big events but either of those places are within easy reach for me, I'm south east based. I'd be a bit concerned about meeting up at something like that though just because of possible undercover cops.
