Sin Tra Bajo
Got 5 strains going germinated on the 18th of April. Today is day 78.

FullSizeRender 68.jpg

From left to right: Barney's Farm (Sin Tra Bajo is not in shot) Pineapple Express, Royal Queen Seeds Diesel Auto, Fastbuds gorilla glue, Seedsman Purple Ryder.

This is my first grow and post on here and I know they're not the most dense buds but it's been a good learning curve so I need some good advice etc.

The plants are in 10L of soil in a greenhouse (SW UK) and have been fed on Biobizz bloom, grow and Alg-a-mic.

The year started out fairly cold so that could be a reason for the below average yields, especially in the greenhouse.

Full plant pics are a week or so old now. Other close ups are from today.

IMG_3311.JPG IMG_3351.JPG Purple Ryder. Short due to being overwatered in the first week...seems to have recovered though and smells like sweet berries.

IMG_3349.JPG IMG_3220.JPG Gorilla Glue. Probably the least dense buds but the smells coming off her are amazing. Hopefully there's still time for a bit more mass to be gained.

IMG_3221.JPG IMG_3352.JPG Diesel Auto. Fuel, Pine and Juicy Fruit and very sticky fingers!

IMG_3222.JPG IMG_3353.JPG IMG_3303.JPG Pineapple express. Lives up to it's name in smell and growth. I think light is probably the limiting factor in my case which is unfortunate as I like to grow outside. Maybe planting a bit later would help in future years.

All plants are obviously well into flower...apart from Sin Tra Bajo which is now over a week over its advertised growth cycle of 10 weeks. This plant has continued to grow to well over a metre and is just starting to put out pistils and fatten up. (No trichs yet) I'm curious to see whether it'll finish or whether the autoflowering genetics will cause her to die off in the next few weeks. If not then I think I'll be pulling a decent weight off her.

Helpful comments all welcome...I want to get good at growing these plants haha! :)

Welcome to AFN! :welcome: Thanks for sharing  Looks like they all have a ways to go yet. Breeders times are generally indoor times, I've found it best to add 2-4 weeks to those times when outdoors with autos. That Sin Tra Bajo looks great, keep giving her love and she'll reward you well. If you need anything just hollar with an @ Stop into live stoners chat and say hello
Happy Growing :vibe:

Thanks for the reply @iampepe. That makes more sense ha! Ahh well I'll be patient then, she's covered in bud sites and the pictures i've seen of the strain look great.

I did a little trimming on the lower branches just for some more airflow as it's humid here atm.
Cheers for the welcome, love reading all these threads...felt like contributing!:thanks:

I agree with pepe, but I would say you might need longer outside in the UK... but perhaps if you're getting some of this lovely British sunshine it'll help hurry them along. Especially now Midsummer has passed. Great stuff so far though!

The sun is currently here, yes haha! I've had to take a few panes out of the greenhouse as the temp is creeping up past 25 at midday at the moment...they're thirsty girls ha! Keep getting muggy damp intervals though and more is forecast after tomorrow unfortunately. No rot yet though so that's good and my fan seems to be doing its job. :)

I'll keep a close eye them all. Got a jewellers loupe for the trichs. I read that sometimes a better way of telling maturity is to look at the leaves turning brown? Is that correct?

Thanks for the help and praise @Eclectic Elle :smoking:

Mine are currently at 28C indoors, 25-28 outdoor greenhouse shouldn't do any harm as long as you have plenty of airflow and keep the humidity down.

I'm rubbish at knowing when to take my plants down LOL. I've just got a clip on 60x microscope for my phone to check trichomes. Mine aren't ready yet dammit!

That's a relief then haha! I love it when it's hot in there to be honest, the smells are so intense :) It tests your patience for sure, I can't wait to be smoking bud I've grown myself. It must be so satisfying!

I expect it is LOL I grow for my hubby. I don't smoke myself. But I LOVE the smell! I keep thinking, they must be ready now... but they're not. My last lot, grown indoors but abroad, came down too early so didn't have much potency - but it was apparently better than nothing. This time, I'm determined to get it right. I took a sample bud 10 days ago and hubby said tonight when he tried it that it wasn't very good. That's ok, I can wait... I think.

The rate mine are going they'll all be finishing at the same time! I will then have 5 different strains all in jars. If I get the balance right, hubby won't need a tolerance break

Here, have a :slap: - I love to meet other Brits!

Ah same here...it's gonna be great dipping into a different jar to get a different effect and taste haha! What strains have you got going?

It'll be worth the wait if you get it right...I'm already worried about the drying and curing haha, hopefully it'll go to plan ey. I'm building up quite a list of strains for future grows...maybe indoor under an LED.

Haha cheers for the rep :woohoo1: and it's yeah its great, such a good way to rebel against the law...good old gardening community haha!
