Hey Now,
Getting closer. The autopots should be here soon. I have arranged the inside and rearranged the venting to better accommodate the ES-300s. The ES-300 are big beautiful passively cooled lights. They need almost all of the room at the top of the tent. I’m sure folks with the big COB arrays know what I am talking about! My usual method has been to hang the filter/fan combo on the top using one of the bars. I don’t like putting them on the floor because it takes up precious floor space. So I needed another way.
The tents I am using have two duct ports on top. I made a duct out of a tee, two els, and a wee bit of straight. The puts the intakes just about directly over both lights, perfect! I will mount the filter/fan outside the tent, draw air out of the tent via the ducts and blow through the filter. This should work well. I do think I will need an air conditioner added to my room though. I used to exhaust the hot air from my HID outside the room.
Here’s a picture of the ducts in the tent.

Edit: Just noticed upside down picture. Sorry my new method of uploading pics doesn’t work too well...

Good Morning Gardeners!
It’s official. I fired up the lights last night. Tested the ventilation systems, added padding to the floor for som insulation, and filled the pots. I am waiting for some special beans, they should be here in a day or three.
Here are some shots of the new venting.

A small fan on top of each light moves air across the heatsink.

Here you can see the two intake pipes. One over each light. They draw out of the tent so will scavenge the hot air from that area. Along with the fans keep the lights cool.

The two pipes lead to a T connection and then into a fan and then into the charcoal filter.

Oh boy the excitement!!!

I only have one fan on mine , I should put one more on it and a exhaust have a Intake but I still think I should it gets to about 82 tops in there
