I would tell him to go for a large. The spacing between the pots is important.
I have noticed bigger plants going with bigger pots.
Make sure all the parts are in the box too.
Last one had no pump or drippers and i had to go back for it.

Downsides are cleaning the system. You can use the pump to empty the res but it cant suck up the last 4 or 5 litres.
So you have to take the 4 plants off and set them somewhere else to lift of the lid and tip the res into a bucket

As long as i keep on top of ec and dont overfeed its grand.
Too strong a res and they drink more water than nutes making the res acidic qnd dropping ph.
Not trying to teach you to suck eggs either mate

Only four plants going at the minute while the skywalker dries.

First up we have a pair of seedstockers bcn critical xxl on day 53.
Really happy with how these are going
They are slow to flower but size is decent.

Come to think on it this girl is really fecking slow. Just preflowering now on day 53... never had a plant go past day 85 before.

Shes the biggest plant ive grown in ages should be 10oz+ if she flowers well.

Now onto the bomb seeds cherry bombs. These girls were suffering from P def leaves look fecked but nothing has worsened since i added the density pk13/14 so its doing something.

Not much to say really theyre plodding along and fattening up.
But they are the most pungent flowers ive ever grown. Hard to describe theres that citrus smell mixed with something that makes your eyes water.
Should make for an interesting smoke

those bombs be blowing up! I always expect the "bigs" to go long, but 53 days?, especially when compared to [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]. At least she's doing it. I had 2 last season that were going big but never preflo. D60 to the compost.

Yea bud they didnt dissapoint.
Ive actually been thinking about vacuum packing for storage. Meant to keep for ages and would be a lot cheaper and save space compared to jars.
Read you can freeze them too

Me2 wondering about this, can suck out air just to the point of crinkling bud.

@trailanimal ive had a real mixture of fast and slow finishers. Even with the same strain.
Yea kinda worried about crushing all the buds in the vacuum too

never done anything with a res before so im a noob there but il be trying autopots here soon so maybe not for long lets hope and maybe i do want ya too teach me about this egg sucking craic dont knock it till ya try it haha

Day61 bcn critical xxls

Lights still on 75% 360w
Drippers on 15mins every 2 hours
Ph 5.9-6.2 ppm 800
Micro 1.5ml Bloom 2.5ml Density 1.5ml sm90 0.5ml calmag 0.5ml

Had to raise the lights as the smallerplant took a late stretch and is now a real good sized plant.
Also cut put the grow nute and uppedpk.

First plant up

Another 4 or 5 weeks for this girl im sure

Throwing out some serious frost which i always love to see. I think this strain would also be great for hash or pressing.

Second plant is only a week to 10 days from chop. First one maybe an extra week past that.
