I wonder if there is a bullet proof proven way to totally prevent gnats in an organic medium. I don't think amending DE in works 100%. I would like it if I could get a res of water going all the time that has mosquito dunks in it. That stuff kills larvae. So if your water has it then maybe that means no bugs in your dirt.

I can get that Root soil at Canadian Tire a few blocks away. And Gaia products are readily available. I'm just gun shy about gnats. And over watering in dirt.

Why not just leave a drunk in your tank that way it's always in your water I have gnats and I just leave one in my water bucket

Just went shopping and grabbed myself some gaia and other crap along with a bag of the root farm lol

As far as the soil goes, I believe the gnats I dealt with were caused by the soil. I’ve always used ProMix HP and I’ve never had any bug issues under lights.

I didn’t end up using the bat guano. I did however use a concentrated seaweed extract in a few of the waterings. Around 4 times through the entire grow.

With my last watering a couple days ago I added some molasses.

Thanks for following my grow. It’s slowly coming to and end as I expect to harvest in the next week or so .

I have had bugs with HP Promix. Its crazy how everyone has different experiences with that stuff. But I won't use it any more because I got burned twice from it. Just like a I won't by Ford or Toyota because of expensive repairs.

I find coco is the safe choice when it comes to avoiding bugs.

I keep small chunks of dunks in my Canuck Tire buckets that I prepare my nutes in. And also in my autopots reservoirs. Just an 1/8th or a dunk is good. And it lasts about 30 days.

I’m glad I have been able to convince others to try Gaia Green. When I bought it the store owner praised it up and down. At first I assumed he was just being a salesman but he gained a customer for sure!!

As far as them staying green-that was actually something that had me a little worrried as I’ve been waiting for the Skywalker to turn. It doesn’t look like she’s going to. The king Louie definitely is starting and not fattening up as much as I would like. I was aiming for day 70/80 and it’s looking it will go that way.

I was actually going gaia green this time anyways even before i come across your beauties lol Theres a grower on youtube (Mr.Canucks Grow) that uses it with coco and has pretty good success with it also.

The label on my 4-4-4 has me stumped lol On gaia's site it says to use 60ml or 4tbsp like i posted earlier but this damn label says to use double that @ 120ml or 8tbsp per gallon of mix

All good things must come to an end...

Skywalker(Mephisto) and King Louie(Puff Puff Pass)came down today. Both at day 75

The Gaia Green Organic soil amendment(4-4-4)came through. Straight water, seaweed extract, molasses and a little TLC brought these ladies to the finish line.
