Seeing those damn gnats you had earlier put me off from picking up a bag of that soil but looks like i'm damn well grabbing a bag or two of it now! I'll be using the gaia green 4-4-4 also for my next grow but will be top dressing with the 2-8-4 later on in bloom to fatten the ladies up.

The Gaia Green product is simply awesome and I don’t think I will ever use anything else. I thought about grabbing either the high P bat guano to top dress or the 2-8-4 but never got around to it. I plan on using the same amendments on my next grow under lights as well as my outdoor Photperiods I’m planning . Will definitely use those other amendments with that one.

@crags82 How much gaia did you use? Gaia's site says to use 60ml or 4tbsp per gallon but on the labels i've seen it says 45ml or 3tbsp

I still a few flying around the room but after two seperate doses of nematodes, I stopped seeing as many on the sticky strips

I wonder if there is a bullet proof proven way to totally prevent gnats in an organic medium. I don't think amending DE in works 100%. I would like it if I could get a res of water going all the time that has mosquito dunks in it. That stuff kills larvae. So if your water has it then maybe that means no bugs in your dirt.

I can get that Root soil at Canadian Tire a few blocks away. And Gaia products are readily available. I'm just gun shy about gnats. And over watering in dirt.

Can’t get this soil in the U.K....can get the Gaia amendment here but it doesn’t come cheap! Anyway, I’ve enjoyed reading through your grow and I just wondered if you gave them anything else during flower? You mentioned bat guano? Did you use it?

As far as the soil goes, I believe the gnats I dealt with were caused by the soil. I’ve always used ProMix HP and I’ve never had any bug issues under lights.

I didn’t end up using the bat guano. I did however use a concentrated seaweed extract in a few of the waterings. Around 4 times through the entire grow.

With my last watering a couple days ago I added some molasses.

Thanks for following my grow. It’s slowly coming to and end as I expect to harvest in the next week or so .

Cheers crags, I use biobizz lightmix. It’s good stuff so I really don’t need to change my soil but I was intrigued. Is there A little updatecoming soon?.........perhaps a pic or two?

I’m going to check the trichs tonight and think long and hard about give them the chop [emoji22]
