Indoor Wild Bill's multi-breeder Grow & Show under MarsHydro SP6500

I guess it would be!
:cooldance:
I was soaked just from measuring and putting on these covers. I'm hoping I get a reduction in top soil temps.View attachment 1333563
Look at BruceView attachment 1333564 now!

I had issues with my veggie plants. I'm growing in 5 gal buckets all over my backyard. I ended up digging holes and setting the buckets into the soil. Keeps the buckets a bit cooler.

It would help with the cooling, but that would close off the rez vent and that's not really good.

I do think the film helped some.
This is not gonna be a problem forever, though. As soon as they get bigger, they will shield the top of the planter.

I ended up putting a layer of crushed stone around the base of the buckets where the drain holes are. I suppose they are more of a permanent fixture in the backyard now too.

That could work. Hope it does well!
If I can get the material I want today, I'll post up something that should solve the problem quite simply.

Well, the Panda film did help somewhat. Enough That I did find a worm in the top of the media. Now this is after the sun has declined and mostly shade, but I'm very happy to see a worm. It's just not quite enough for the EBs to be close to optimal, I went to the feed store to get hay..............first friggin' time in my life! LOL! $10 for a horse person bale of hay! Since a large number of people feeding horses are women, the people operating the balers usually don't make them the heaviest the baler can do. When I baled and hauled hay as a kid in the summer, the farmers always wanted the heaviest bales that the baler can make............usually 100lbs plus. Fewer bales the farmer pays less $$ to get his hay baled and hauled. Good money for a kid, but kept my Mom busy putting patches on my knees of my jeans. You had to use your knees to throw those bales all damn day.
Before I laid on the sections of hay, I gave them a tiny bit top dress of BAS craft blend, lightly scratched it in and sprinkled a little bokashi. All the other girls got a little bit of the blend also. The EBs still had great moisture. I think by Friday, I should be able to give the EB and all the other girls watering with humic and amino acids. I'm gonna try to get a half gallon in the EBs, just not enough for the water to go in the rez. I'd be ok if I added to much. I can just dump it out. I just don't want to go down that road and it would waste nutes.

By this time next week. I expect to fill the EBs rez and begin that part of the grow. When I'm not going to top feed Amino acids, The rez will go dry for a day before filling and when feeding, it will be two days. Once I start that cycle, the top water feeding will be limited to a quart each. Hopefully by that time, they will be drinking close to a gallon plus. I'm really hoping that I can run the humic acid in the rez with no problems. I guess we all will find out for sure!

Leaving the indoor girls outside was sorta a passing thought the other day, but after looking at them today, I'm just going to have to check what media I have available and how quick I can get new bags. I can run 4 totally new girls..............Twenty20 Vitamints I think is one, Fuge State and two other freebie from Meph or Roc. Defiantly something to consider. I do REALLY want to get a full grow under the Mars SP6500 to properly evaluate it.

GROUP PIC!

Not a regular update, that's Sunday, I just have an observation.
Ya have grows that one plant make ya smile. Bruce Banner is it in this grow.
10 days ago I placed her outside. During that 10 days, she has grown over 13 inches. She's not in stretch this damn early is she? I think she's gonna get much bigger.
Shown sex at 19days and now she is 27 days old and just over 16 in tall. That why I'm leaving the all outside and starting 4 new girls in the tent. I have a suspicion that the Mars 6500 may be keeping them short with too much blue. With the way the outdoor girls are going, I'm just going to hit them harder and sooner. I will document it with my par meter.
She will get watered and fed tomorrow or Sunday.I don't think she needs flower feeding at this time, but the next week will be a good time.
She got two of her lowers pulled out somewhat. Should be able to do another in a couple days.
If it's below 90 before sunset, they'll all get a dose of Dr Zymes as a preventative.

A side note on the environment.
This site gets about 6 really good hours of direct light with trees on three sides. In the tent, I could tell when the girls reached their DLI. I have no idea if this is a thing outdoors. The do still seem to be tracking the sun quite far over at the end of the day.
