Lighting UNDER CANOPY LIGHTS

Many or most of us likely have old sets of lights hanging around. Can/should these be used vs. something more current and maybe even designed for under canopy use?

For ex., I have AutoCOBs no longer being used. I presume these could be easily be used under the canopy (although they lack upscale features of under canopy lights such as being waterproof)?

Let me know when you wanna get rid of those cobs lol! I get it, there are tons of different lights and any will work to provide extra par lighting, but having something tailor made for the use in which it be occupied is always nice. 👍 i just think most people want to save as much money as possible and with the right setup can get results just as good from cheaper equipment. But like you said, having all the specs such as being waterproof is awesome, i just think the price needs to come down a bit to be more desirable to the average home grower. I mean you can set up a whole tent for the price of those lights! If money was no issue things would be different, but it is, so they arent. You are going to have one of the most advanced grow spaces ive seen in a long time!
