Here is my opinion, I think the rectangular shape and low profile are perfect for most home growers. Many tents are rectangular, and the low profile allows for more head room. I do not know if the performance would be different in a square version, but possibly if the depth was different as Autos can go longer in deeper pots IMO. I might make some square SIPs to grow clones in. The only thing the Juniors are not good for is trying to run 2 clones in 1 pot. So I might try a different approach, that is easier to top dress. Top dressing 1 plant is easy, but 2 clones in 1 pot is too tight of space to top dress. I have a few ideas thst might work well? Peace, slow
For sure slow, the rectangular shape lends itself well to a 2x4 tent - especially if you do just one plant in the Original size box .....
The shape and height also helps, both Junior and Original are shorter than say a five or seven .gallon fabric pot and our plants don’t need a tap root, right, you see that with the rootmaker starter pots and the not so deep Earthbox works well in that respect too, no tap Root on Sam and she was a monster ..... Some thought the earthbox square / deep root container would work better but when they did side by side that theory was quickly squashed and the grower went back to the Original his next grow ..... and I’ve concluded Junior for smaller strains and the Original for the likes of White Crack and larger plants - I would do a White Crack in a Junior so as to see just how far a Junior can be pushed but she probably is best done in an original box.
