Hey hi thanks for checking out ..... :pass: ...... Girls are just starting to take root and over the next several weeks we should see some explosive growth ......

where did the worms come from - must oF been some worm castings - eggs in the medium mix is all I can figure or they magically appeared like they when they show up under my doormat after a good rain!
ps i forgot to say pop in at mine my diarys with other noobs. D

Innit bro your right there, im takin it as a good sign anyway it just happens ive only seen them on 1 plant which happens to be the biggest, ive only got 1 its a jack herer auto like a triffid she is il attach a pic ive only seen the worms under her i cant say thats why shes the biggest because the rest are diff strains i found them under jh right side of pic cheers for the info ans a merry christmas to you and yours.D :hippy::baked:

Must be worm castings and cocoons in your mix and they hatched - searching out moisture they found the bottom of your pot and crawled out thru the Seam or fabric itself ...... Fabric Pots dry from outside and the top down with the bottom usually staying moist and cooler so worms were there .....

Good sign in that health of soil must be good enough to support worms so yea, good omen brother .....

Happy Holidays to you and all your loved ones, wishing all the best ever!

PS - link for your journal - I don’t know where to find.

Im a bit of a dunce when it comes to computers m8 i havnt got a scooby doo how to show you the link to my journal?:what?:

Correct and I actually have a screen designed for soil so I just run it thru saving the lava and larger chunks of whatever to line bottom of pots which I’ll use for houseplants this spring - even thinking about earth boxes for outdoor garden stuff like a lettuce box - growth is super in these guys - hydro without the chemical fertilizers ......

Starter Soil might include some microbiology stuff but add your own - all you are looking for is a soil light in amendments that helps root growth and allows them to form easy ..... heck take some happy frog - mix with KIS and screen - you’ll be fine - my start Soil again is just bag Soil with peat and some perlite but I forgot to add this last time so just 1/4 peat and 3/4 KIS Screened and some worm castings lightly sprinkled on top, not much nut worm castings are one thing you can usually add in anytime anywhere without burn issues just watch the compaction of the castings ...... and remember @Organic Sinse plants directly back into his amended soil so no start soil in his grow .....

Month or so and we should have your smoke report on WC as well as yield - anxious to hear.
I start in my final containers, but just as Tad recommends, I use a seed starter. What I do is leave a cavity in the center of the pot when I fill it with my soil mix. I then fill the cavity with a light starter mix, like Light Warrior from FF or Jiffy seed starter. I use a cavity size range between 1 quart to 1 gallon, with a half gallon being my favorite. With auto, I always have the best success starting seeds in seed starter. My soil is usually just a little too hot for seedlings. I also want my seeds to start in a soil (seed starter) that is super low in P (phosphorus), so that the mycorrizael fungi fully develop. Mycos won't do much in soil with lots of P.

Hey thanks Sinse, good to see you - check out this grow as soon the new light I have should come into play, I have a ELECTRIC SKY 180 and I gotta say I love it so far and like the fact I can use SUNGLASSES vs LED GLASSES - For these old eyes the color is Flippin GREAT and I hope the grow results are likewise....

Good info - helps avoid possible transplant shock .....

I hear Tad but I like to do my starts in a humidity dome and root maker starter pots, probably carried over from garden / tomatoes .... I think the rootmaker pots helps but certainly no side by side grows to compare, heck I’m only working on my third grow besides an outdoor that is different in many ways but the rootmakers for sure worked well with tomatoes and the outdoor girls, I had those in bigger rootmaker pots btw .....

When you replant do you simply placed seed X inches from old stem or do you scoop out and replace some soil with new starter and amend balance?

Peace,
MOB

What I do when I replant is this. I leave the old stem about an inch tall when I chop. This helps me keep track of where the old stem is. I then brush back any large mulch from around the old stem, so that I am looking at about a 6" circle that is my original seed starter 'pocket'. Next I put some fresh seed starter on top of the old. I add an amount about 6" in diameter and about an inch thick. What works best is to wet the new seed starter in a separate container first. I then make it into a 'patty'. Picture a homemade 1/2lb hamburger patty, that's the right size. I put the patty on top of the old seed starter. Using the old stem as a guide, I plant 1-2 inches to any side.
The explanation takes longer than the deed. It works super slick. The old root system provides the right slow release fertilizer for the new plant, and since its a quick turn around in the same proximity, the new plant is able to use some of the existing networks and pathways established by the previous plant. The worms in my pots stay pretty happy too.

II want to also add that starting seeds in their final large container works for me, because I can get the temps and moisture right. Anyone that has a go to tech for starting seeds and then transplants, should stick with what is working for them. If feeling adventurous, just try one in the final container. After all, seeds are precious and expensive.

Patty put it all together, thanks for that explain ....... I hear that takes longer to explain than do - many things like that it seems ....

When I do a replant I will give it a try and see if I can do a side by side grow compare but you are right being relatively new to indoor grow, except for vegetables starts, I’m going to do what works and right now the rootmaker seems to do a nice job and transplant shock is normally non existent And in the SIP Container I like that there is no tap root in the rootmaker pot out of the gate.

Day 21ish for Goldie and 24k - Strawberry NUGS is about 14ish Days .....

Gold Glue and 24k are starting to take hold and show growth every tent visit now while NUGS is just now getting some roots .... Been doing a little training but girls are of the shorter variety so not much in the way of training like with previous grow - Will be interesting with Strawberry NUGS when she grows a little more, how will I handle to expose some of those lower bud sites?

Twelve Days since Transplant - Explosive Growth in my opinion, rivals hydro and I’ve held her back with some training thus keeping her shorter and trying to help bring up the lower bud sites
