Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

Both 24k and Goldie are both starting to flower, I can’t believe it .... I have a sour lover soaking now - geez one is just barely two weeks into transplant and the second has a day or so to go .... Their growth is now starting to show every visit but none compare to Sam’s Growth ....

Will post pics later.
.
Those plants are both smaller by genetic background. Sam has med/large Samsquanch OG. So its hard to compare, plus Sam was a freak of Nature in an Original. Roots and Autos effect the flowering. Obviously your Root Makers made some kick ass roots and the Juniors are filling quickly qith roots. Bigger containers can often extend the veg period, filling the pots with roots takes longer...so Healthy Gold Glue in an Original would veg longer, get bigger, and take longer to finish thsn in Junior. Those Juniors are not as big and the low profile will make the roots fill the pots much faster. Plus you are taking really good care of them. I predict day 56 to 58 harvest. The Rootmakers create Horizontal rootbraching. Gonna be a fast 2 plants for surely. But will be kickass quality and decent yields. Not Sam yield...but those 2 strains will never be ad big. I will try my rootmakers next week. We will see how they work for me. Peacex slow

I do believe the rootmaker do help the roots grow horizontally - which we want in this low profile container, which because it is low profile the wicking action / cap is dialed in .......

The last Gold Glue only had maybe 5 gallons of soil, it was a seven gallon pot but I had lots of drainage and lots of room for dressings to maybe 5 gallons and this junior there is at least 6 gallons before any top dressings so really I’m at least equal or more with this Junior verses other cloth - with the other I got around 84 grams dry so will see how this one fares .......

rootmakers, do you think they were built to be reused?

Loving the sip discussion. I can procure local versions of it but probably gonna leave this project till when I’m really bored lol. I have very high humidity. The fabric pots are perfect. Spend some extra and get those double layered types (dunno how to explain it but imo it’s the same as those rain science material). These bags don’t let water evaporate as much but instead let’s air through. Perfect for my environment but I’ll be taking notes of your sip knowledge. Maybe I’ll diy something lol

@slowandeasy - Found this pic of NUGS from 12/9 - She is above ground so she may have a 12/7 birthday making her 18 days old XMAS Day - HAPPY HOLIDAYS AFN .....

Pic from 12/9/19 - NUGS far right and SOUR LIVERS who was trashed is front right

Those are some nice cloth pots ...... The earthbox is designed with a low profile which helps water wick up into the soil - the taller five gallon SIP Container has to pull the water too high so the top portion doesn’t get as much moisture - so when you DYI make sure your design is not too high .....

Curious, cloth pots are a open aerobic system and they evaporate / dry from the top and sides - which would would add to the humidity to the environment - A SIP Container is a closed anaerobic system, there is no evaporation adding humidity - Just thinking out load .....

Thanks for stopping by - Merry XMAS,

I have had terrible results in the past with ceramic pots that caused dampening off. Imo, my high humidity takes a long time for pots to dry. It’s possible that a living soil might change this so we’ll see. Baby steps though. Already changing up too much next round. Gonna keep other projects for a later date.

Just hanging out soaking up on your knowledge. The girls look great bro!

Why thank you bro .... I absolutely love to grow and not just weed but it is my favorite ..... :pass:

No on ceramic pots I hear that .....

Cloth Pots are adding unwanted humidity - Cloth pots are an Open aerobic system ......

EarthBox is a Closed anaerobic system and all the moisture stays within the planter - the shower cap over the top condenses any moisture back into the system not up into the grow space as with cloth pots - I have to add humidity to my tent with EarthBox Grow but my first grow was done in cloth pots and in that grow I had to dehumidify .....

Note dehumidifier on left .... Now they are in flower but this is wintertime and inside house RH was around 40ish but not in the tent due to cloth pots and moisture evaporating from the top as well ..... Also note the crate bottom pots are sitting on again moisture forms on underneath if not ventilated - more moisture coming out .... btw Strawberry NUGS left and 3 Bears Right ....

Nice job @MrOldBoy! I am going to be honest, I think the rootmakers might be able to reused, if you can pop them out like a sand castle or maybe precut and tape up. I will try them out and see, but most likely they are not reusable without some effort. If I csn reuse just once, that would be better than 1 and done. I saw a different version on Amazon, cheaper. But I not sure they are exactly the same or not. I bought 2 of 18 Cell version on sale. Its a minor expense, if the roots do better it is totally worth it. Although, once I replace my tents I will have a dedicated Starter Tent. With a the 2 in 1 tent I can micro manage the environment. Once I grab that little tent I will also try Direct planting into a Junior. But I wont try that without having that little tent I want. Because temps are so important for a healthy start and large pots will need to be warmer to do well.

A grower would think they would pop out but I must be doing something wrong, they sure don’t for me - hope you can solve my mystery, would be nice to reuse - hate tossing plastic into landfills ....

@slowandeasy you hit it big time, environment makes a difference and I like to micromanage too - the two section tent looks interesting btw - will have to follow your progress when up running - Do a Journal on it if you would, please ....

With the Sour Livers I need to decide can I start in the big tent or should I go to T5 Light like previous girls - I can really micro manage that little dome or put some in big tent with heat mat and soil probe temp controller - put in corner front with low PAR Level? I’m leaning towards Big Tent otherwise I have to remove a heater to fire back up and I suspect with the little heat mat and controller I can dial in inside tent but .......

As you said do I have another tent, yes to that you see it in the above 3 Bears / NUGS pic and in next X Days to germinate will give me better idea of how big this grow will get as four in the tent would be max and crowded.
