Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

Why thank you bro .... I absolutely love to grow and not just weed but it is my favorite ..... :pass:

No on ceramic pots I hear that .....

Cloth Pots are adding unwanted humidity - Cloth pots are an Open aerobic system ......

EarthBox is a Closed anaerobic system and all the moisture stays within the planter - the shower cap over the top condenses any moisture back into the system not up into the grow space as with cloth pots - I have to add humidity to my tent with EarthBox Grow but my first grow was done in cloth pots and in that grow I had to dehumidify .....

Note dehumidifier on left .... Now they are in flower but this is wintertime and inside house RH was around 40ish but not in the tent due to cloth pots and moisture evaporating from the top as well ..... Also note the crate bottom pots are sitting on again moisture forms on underneath if not ventilated - more moisture coming out .... btw Strawberry NUGS left and 3 Bears Right ....

There was a time where I too, was preoccupied with aerobic and anaerobic. Long story short, my reading leads me to believe a true living soil need both aerobic and anaerobic microbes. The good microbes should always out compete bad ones. Only exception is when making AACT if I am right about this. I may be totally wrong and in need of an education. In AACT, we wanna increase the aerobic microbes. Even this has conflicting reports. Some say top dress is exactly the same? Some swear by brewing it.

In my case, I never ever need a humidifier. It’s something totally unnecessary all year round. I need a dehumidifier but have been without one till now. Gonna have to get one next year! The cloth pot helps me prevent any rot or dampening off issues, that if I get from a ceramic pot, I will get for sure in a fully closed SIP. A DIY Fabric pot SIP may be my best option. Gives the wicking effect but also let my pots dry out better. Maybe, just maybe though, it could be that I just suck at growing LOL!

I am looking at Korean Natural Farming (KNF) inputs more and more. Gonna be using their basic methods on my plants next round. Still a whole lot more to learn and read. I am barely scratching the surface. @hecno has a thread on this. Full recipe for your very own organic Veg, Bloom, Enzymes, Amino Acids, Microbes, minerals and even CalMag. You can make them all yourself!

OK @slowandeasy With new germination I opted back to old way - the starts seem to do so well under the 6500k T5 bulb that will be hard to duplicate under the all in one wide spectrum big tent bulb and I laugh as I say BIG TENT - it’s an oversized 2x4 tent that’s my big tent ..... The SL is under dirt now, see if she germinates ......

About two weeks since first transplant and I’ve finally got the girls adjusted to the lights - at first Goldie couldn’t handle 300 PAR, she had some inward turning on the leaves but now she is up to 375 with NUGS at 350 and 24K at 400 ..... Lights are 40inches away but I will be slowly moving down until 18-24” away and the PAR should be around 650ish maybe even higher if they can handle it .....

TENT environment has been holding at 79-80 with RH 63ish and co2 around 1000 PPM and we have good air movement so conditions are dialed right where they like it - will see f we can keep them between the lines!

Peace,
MOB

You supplement with CO2? You have a closed tent system? Man...that’s sweet!

No supplement at this time, might add to get a bump but none now .....

My tent is inside a room that you have to enter thru two doors and another room to get to and no windows - basement corner setting ..... fresh conditioned room air flows into tent from a fan that sits on the side rail near the floor sidewall opening - I have no exhaust open right now but air does escape out thru the various duct opening areas as well as the top zipper if I leave open a little bit and sometimes I do just a tad so long story short it’s an open system ..... I do have an exhaust system as well that’s programmed to kick in if temps or humidity go too high along with five fans running including a monkey fan .... I have goofed around enough to realize it’s best to try and get your room condition up to close to tent level and adjust from there - either more or less heat / humidity in the room as tent requires ......

Yes I would say they like ..... Here is Strawberry NUGS and this is under 24 hours and she was just recently transplantEd so roots are still growing

I was wondering how you are running your co2 in your tent. I have to have high cfm because my wife cant stand the smells and I have a kid. No smells allowed! Fan on 24/7 to keep the wife happy. The added co2 should help out, buds get denser with a good supply of co2 and you can run higher temps. I am gonna make a couple home made co2 generators and see if it makes a difference in growth in a couple of my tents. A little added co2 cant hurt, and home made is cheap. With high CFM setups, the exhaust will waste a lot of co2...but thats ok if I am making my own cheap bottles. Peacex slow

Slow could be there is hvac ductwork in the room, this is a corner basement large storage room like area ..... the natural co2 level just must be that thus any fresh air already is at that number - I would need to test room air to confirm but that must be reason - now when I am working inside the tent it goes up to 1400-1500 range .... I am thinking about adding a Bag co2 just to see if I can bring up a few hundred points.

You can make some 2 Liter bottle co2 generators with Wine Yeast and Sugar. Thats what Im gonna do in a couple of my small tents. I can run my veg tents with minimal exhaust, but Flowering tents need 24/7 exhaust for zero smells. That is rather high natursl co2, lucky for your plants! I will make some generators and see what happens. Peace, slow

KNF that in itself is an art - I’ve looked into some but I’ll stick with good old American Organics ..... Don’t want to overthink or get confused .....

I hear ya on dehumidifier- not sure if I didn’t explain myself but anyways you have some beautiful plants so something must be clicking!

Forgive me...I often get carried away and just yak bout stuff. Sometimes completely off topic. This younger stoner must be giving you older folks lotsa question marks lol Don’t however take this as any lack of respect from my end. I hold you all in highest regards! Again, I’m here to learn so every bit of info, whether I apply them or not only makes me a more knowledgeable grower! And you guys do it out of kindness so its FREE lol!

Now that I got that out, good ol mericans are a huge reason MJ is gaining wider acceptance worldwide. Don’t care bout the politics but good old uncle Samorganics sounds super kickass to me! Lol

My plants? Have you seen yours lately dear Sir? ROFL!

Talk about lights - I have an ELECTRIC SKY ES 180 I am running for the first time, got on Black Friday - this light wasn't cheap - Light is only 2 foot long and has a Dimmer, rated at 180 watts ..... I started out at 50% and have slowly moved up to 100% output - took two weeks slowly cranking up - Hung at 40” at start and I am slowly moving down to 24” or so ......

Tent is oversized 2x4 at 28.75 inches by 52 inches or a little over 10 square feet verses normal 2x4 at 8 square feet so tent has an extra 2 sq feet compared to normal 2x4 tent .... tent is about 82” tall btw .....

Ten Sq Feet divided into 180 only gives us 18 watts square foot so the light is a little small for the tent but no worries I have an Optic 1XL rated at 100 watts to supplement and a second Optic 1 55 watt 5000k I can use in veg cycle, if desired .....

I am really liking this ES180 Light as it has a different color than most - it is like a white LED and only sunglasses are needed when working under, absolutely love it - eyesight has been poor from day one, eyes are 400/20 and 200/20 and are light sensitive, and this ES180 is a game changer for me .....

Here is an overhead view of the ES180.
